I’m wondering the same thing. As I understand it the MKV already has in internal BOV that recirculates the pressure. So if this is venting the excess pressure to the atmosphere instead of recirculating it, are you losing any pressure that you would otherwise have? Also, is it venting more/or less excess pressure than the internal BOV?
That is exactly the reason why aftermarket BOV throw off fuel trims which affects mpg and performance negatively. seeing how this is integrated to a charge pipe and uses a vacuum line im hoping this would be different
Exactly what I wanted to say but too much of a noob to put it into writing. Thanks!
Reached out to BM3 in this regard.
My Question: Would this BOV affect fuel trim, air fuel ratios, or impact DME or a tune in any way?

To add, you may need to get the spring set depending on your idle vac... the BOV comes with the "pink" spring which is rated at 0-4 inHg.. may need to add a spring depending on your specific car, etc.

Did the paperwork come with part numbers to order different springs if needed? Mine arrives today.

I got mine before BMS even had the instructions.. but I figured it out on my own, its super easy vacuum tap, and the chargepipe is obviously straight forward.. But as far as the part number for the springs, it is TS-0204-2104 (i ordered the springs on amazon)

Interesting… I’ll have to reach out to Terry. It comes with the pink spring in it and under full throttle could hear it opening slightly.. swapped to harder spring and it works fine for me, dunno

Appreciate you for asking for us man! Wish they used a more scientific response lmaoo but im a little more convinced to get it now. Maybe some will start doing datalog runs to confirm the effects it has on performance

I also ordered mine last week. I was a bit skeptical, like most of you, due to me having the Speed Industry HKS style BOV originally. My tuner told me to remove it. I missed the sound. When I saw this kit, I had to order it. It seemed like a better, more efficient BOV design than the HKS system, which had to be wired into a separate controller. Install wasn't bad, but I felt like they should have went this route instead.

My kit arrived today. Install in the AM.

Downfall, wish they only sold the top portion and its lines separately. The bottom charge pipe is already an FTP brand and upgraded from stock. No issues running up to 32psi of boost. Maybe they will sell just the top section in the future, to save some of us some funds.

Results tomorrow. :)
