What are your guys thoughts, Which one is louder HKS or this BMS BOV?

the turbosmart BOV is much louder and hell of a lot easier install, and it is inverted in the engine bay, so you wont lose space for braces... and I'm and HKS fanboy, but went with the BMS and very happy with it

Couple things to note. The Turbosmart raceport BOV alone is $280, so if you can find a full top and bottom chargepipe for $120 made in the USA then we will buy from you

Bolts are included as stated a couple posts above, some kits were missed unfortunately. Email us and we'll send them out no problem.

Sensor was fitted that way to ensure the engine cover will go on without issue. We will look into turning it around on the next batch.

Top section will not be sold separately as we can't confirm fitment with other chargepipe brands.
Also to ensure fitment and proper functionality this is the best way to go about it.

Worst case scenario example if we sold top section only. An international customer buys it and it doesn't fit their current aftermarket lower CP. They will then have to buy the bottom portion from us and pay double in shipping, double for work assuming they paid a shop to do it, etc.

.....Can confirm, upper pipe will not fit with FTP lower...

Got everything installed and did a short test drive. BOV is very audible with windows down not so much rolled up. Sounds great, only drawback is it significantly reduces turbo flutter noises. Guess we can’t have both yet.

Awesome, that is what you want! Turbo flutter is bad and damages the turbo. That means the BOV is working properly and venting the pressurized air out instead of going back and surging the turbo.

@R8TTEDR, Just curious, is there a higher tension spring we can use in the BOV, that would give us just a little flutter back? Or is it, any higher in terms of spring tension, will cause the BOV not to not sound off at all?

You can try to use the next stiffer spring up which looks to be the purple spring.

I didn’t change out the bottom FTP charge pipe. I kept it in place and reused the existing extended coupling since I am on PI.
Not sure, but I didn’t use the bottom one with the kit.

I am very happy with this kit overall. I can hear with my windows up or down. Love the sound. Loud enough for me. My exhaust is pretty loud also and I can still hear it.
Raced a ZL1 Camaro last night and all he heard was BOV noises and only saw my taillights on three runs. ?

I sure can. Might be this afternoon. The coupling that I am using is one from Visconti that is really long. Of course 3” down to a 2-1/2” reducer.

Pure your request. Hard to see it but it’s the bottom section of the FTP. Notice it’s not shiny. It’s flat black. The coupling is one from Visconti since I am running port injection.
