I completely understand how supply chains work. The problem isn't where things are made, the problem is the quality. I'm just stating that the same manufacturer can put out different quality products depending on how much their client is willing to spend.

Not every product needs to have OEM fitment or made from the best materials. Prices for high quality kits are ridiculous. That's why I don't have a problem with knock-offs (i.e. Rexpeed) or B-Tier originals (Seibon). They are good enough if you're willing to do some work for perfect fitment.

I have done a crazy amount of due diligence in the aftermarket space to understand that most of the aftermarket items out there are just companies slapping their names on a product they probably didn't even design inhouse.

I also understand that most store fronts don't even have products on hand. They are just a middle of a middle man.

There are 3 or 4 other companies that offer this style so that's not a big deal really. It's the reality of the business. What is concerning are the pics used. At the very least either use the manufacturer's stock photos or your own photos. Do not use another storefront's original pictures. That's not a good look.
those are what the manufacturer provided 😂🫡

see, if it weren't a core group of you, I would take that to heart

I do pretty in depth analysis, and it's the same group of the same type of person.

so I can't take it seriously in any way.

I'm pretty sure that's what he did, having actually said so, and used the key phrase "temporary placeholder" i.e. a representative image, until he can take his own photos of a kit installed on a vehicle. In the business world, this practice and language is commonplace. I see nothing really wrong with that, and the courts most likely wouldn't either. Pretty sure our law-school buddy (Phillip) would back me up on this.

I'm not taking any sides here, just stating the obvious, because people are so fired up about this right now I don't think they're carefully reading the statements being made. Also, we all know damn well that CF aero pieces from different manufacturers may follow exact duplicate designs, and look okay from several feet away, but when you take a closer look there's massive disparities in the weave, fitment, and overall finish quality of said product. Any time researching the CF duckbills for these cars will give you a crash course on this notion.

I dont care where the parts come from. Just don't sell it as your own design when the r&d isn't done by you.
We literally are driving a bmw that's badged as a Toyota Supra.

We are all in direct violation of everything you're complaining about.
