Boring maintenance stuff I had been putting off for a while...

- Put some air in the tyres, the cold has suddenly come so they were .1 bar too low.
- Refilled washer fluid.
- Cleaned exhaust tips.
- Checked coolant level.
- Quick wipe down of engine bay with a damp cloth.
- Put her on the CTEK so she's juiced up next time I drive it.

This is the last photo I took of the mango. Dropped her off Thursday for a full color wrap courtesy of the production company who rented the car for a commercial. She's being wrapped by the Avery Dennison SEMA representatives.

Update: The car, which I had named Sasha, is totaled. Preliminary repair estimate, in total parts & labor was $41,254.48.

Was able to swap out my Armytrix downpipe, RK Ti exhaust, @NitroYellowMKV steering wheel, JB4, Injen intake, Raceseng shift knob, OEM+ hood vents & center caps, with the stock parts. I signed the papers, turned my keys in, and said my final goodbye yesterday afternoon. I expect her to resurface in the Salvage Registry, and I'll have to update the A91-MT owner's thread.

My insurance company (AmFam), towing service, and body shop experiences have all been truly excellent, which I feel so lucky for, as horror stories are so common.

Chapter two of my MKV story may be over, but chapter three is going to be long and amazing, where the fun will really begin in my opinion. As I wait for the check, the hunt for her replacement has already begun..
sorry to hear man! Mine is not being considered totaled. So far the repair bill is up to $21k. Going to be a long time before I get it back though.

Did you have to remove the OEM radiator cover? If you did, did the bumper need to come off?
Yes this replaced the oem cover. And I was able to leave the bumper on. There is a row of bolts on the forward side that are captured in place by the bumper, but you can loosen them enough with an open-ended wrench to slide the oem cover out and the new one in since the covers are slotted in those bolt hole locations.

Should have ripped the hazelnut seats and panels out.

I SOOO wanted to, but can't, as I couldn't "devalue" the vehicle or remove anything it's supposed to come with when new, within reason. That's why I was free to strip my added stuff, as long as it was replaced with the factory equipped components. The vehicle's appraised value and money paid out were based on it being as 'complete' as can be, and they took inventory and detailed photos to ensure it was.

I can’t look ? again. That car is too precious. CU Later Grey with beige interior (I’d pay over sticker for that ? - blasphemy). I‘m so glad that wasn’t out in 2022. I hope you can find one similar!

Making me think I need to insure my aftermarket goodies. Too much to try and pull out. What a mess…. I hope you and @Evolution get back on track soon!! Both of y’all - great input on here for the rest of us.

Did you have to remove the OEM radiator cover? If you did, did the bumper need to come off?
You don’t need to take the bumper off to change that, but taking the bumper off is a 20 minute thing.

Cleaned the car and looked for a spot to place this air freshener without it sliding around. This seems like a perfect fit.
