I mean yeah of course.Oh, you mean the F&F, 2F2F, Forza and Need For Speed group.
Honestly, the R32, R33 and R34 all battled the Supra.
My statement is not to be confused with 'R33 was it's only competition'

So V6 swap was always the plan?Fair point and one I've seen others raise, but at the same time the R34 is essentially the same car as the R33 (much to the chagrin of elitists).
They welded the C-pillar to increase body rigidity, tossed in the Getrag 6spd, and changed the interior and exterior aesthetics and called it even. A ton of the mods for both cars are interchangeable as a result.
It was also barely any faster on the 'Ring; I wanna say it was like 3-4seconds (which is why Nissan never released the time). At the same time, the goal wasn't really to make the car faster but instead to improve handling and feel.

Now, that wasn't originally the plan. The car was supposed to have the road going variant of the VQ30DETT seen in the Nismo GT500 car, but accounting wouldn't approve the development costs, thus RB26 again.
The comments are hilarious. What a bunch of whining little saps and much to their surprise that it sold for that much. They must have forgotten about the '67 2000GT that sold for 1.2M back in 2013.
For the same reason all things have value - supply and demand. At this point its the nostalgia factor that is driving the MKIV market, which is very difficult to put a price on as the decision is rather emotional than rational. The same people that grew up idolizing these cars are now generally in the financial position to obtain one with prime examples pulling top dollar. It's not just Supra's, but JDM cars in general from 240Z, Supra, S2000, RX-7, etc.I mean, certain R34 GTRs are going for near $140k. Granted they are V and M Spec Nurs, but still.
Why is the Supra market so appalling to these people? Are they idiots?
Some people just don't understand how supply and demand works I guess.Yeah, I mean the same goes for older GTRs, like Hako and KenMeri, and there are other cars too.
When is it not emotional? This isn't a new thing lol. I mean, high prices sure, but as said there weren't that many of them made period.
Agreed. IIRC, the Toyota 2000GT was the first JDM vehicle ever to break the $1M mark sometime about 5 years ago. Hopefully we'll start seeing more cars from the land of the rising sun get the same attention. That's very ignorant of Kristen Lee to "rant" about how a Toyota can sell for that much. As a car enthusiast, it's a good thing to finally see old Japanese cars bring high value to the auction blocks; especially since we've seen time after time that it has been predominately vintage American and European cars going for 200K, 300K, 400K, 500K all the way up to the million + mark.
No one would pay $100K for a To-
