Went to clean up the engine bay a little bit and noticed both of my charge pipe bung bolts were backed out about halfway, I wonder if this would have been causing any boost leak issues? I guess FTP doesn't tighten them very much before shipping the product out. Lesson learned, always check every bolt. This charge pipe has been on the car for over two years at this point.

Got the MAD 5" downpipe installed and BM3 stage 2 map flashed. Just need to turn down (or turn off) the burbles tomorrow. They're embarrassingly loud now.

On a side note, I'm loving that it's still quiet with the exhaust valve closed for road trips. I've done too many 6+ hour drives listening to droning the whole way.

How do you like the uncatted downpipe?? How bad is the smell and do you feel and more power or lack of torque? I already have an AA catted downpipe with stage 2 tune and keep wondering if I should go uncatted, but I don't have a valved exhaust anymore though.

My brother was in town visiting and yesterday was a cool but sunny day - so we took the car for a drive.

On our way back home we came across a woman stumbling around in the middle of the road. It was a two lane, 80kph zone and there was quite a bit of traffic. She strayed into the middle of our lane, facing away from us, after nearly being hit by several vehicles. We came to a complete stop for about ten seconds and she just stood there, oblivious to traffic. My brother gave her a little beep to let her know we were there and instead of moving out of the way, she became agitated, taunted us, and then threw herself against the side of my car. She also tried to scratch it with a set of deer antlers she was carrying. That is not a typo.

I got out and confronted her. She was very drunk. I yelled at her to get off the road as more and more vehicles kept zooming by at 80+. I had to keep moving to stay between her and the Supra to stop her from attacking the car again. I realized it wasn't going to end well so I called 911. I wasn't the only one - another driver had also stopped and called emergency services after nearly hitting her.

Long story short the police picked her up. I gave a good description to the police but the officer was sure they had the right person because she's well known to the cops, and mostly because she was carrying a small set of antlers.

The damage was limited to a little scuff of clear-coat and a thin west-coat pinstripe that didn't get down to paint. Honestly, I'll get more damage from my first rock chip.

I'm loving it. I'm coming from a stock downpipe so power and torque definitely saw a boost. As for the smell, it smells like racecar and I love it. Not sure why people complain about the smell, but to each his own.

If you already dropped the money on the AA downpipe, I'd hold off on going catless tbh. For power gains you'd be better off putting the money towards a flex fuel kit if you don't have one already.

I’ve been trying to learn how to take better photos, so drove mine out to the park for a practice shoot. I’m interested in eventually sharing other people’s builds, so I’ve been studying everyday on how to improve. If you guys have any tips, would be happy to hear it.

Also been a long time since I’ve posted an update but I got the HKS intake and BOV installed. Both sound really awesome with the HKS exhaust + downpipe since they don’t get drowned out. BOV is nowhere near obnoxious as I thought it might be, but that’s probably cause I have an auto. I think I’m going to save up for the HKS Hipermax S/R coilovers and brace set now.

Garage storage for winter. Got it on the Noco charger and put Stabil in the tank.

Tires are only at ~40psi though and I didn't get a final wash in, so if there's a warm day she might see the driveway for a few hours.

That reads like some Florida (or even northern Wisconsin) kinda shit. Inebriated or not, causing senseless property damage IS grounds for a proper ass-whoopin' in my book, and it would have been difficult not to defend my property and/or person.

You NEED a dash cam from here on out.

After she threw herself against the car we expected a big scratch or damage to the body panels. It sounded awful. I think what happened is that she folded the mirror and it snapped back into place, causing a loud 'clunk' noise both times. She also popped open the gas cap, which was easy enough to fix. She did manage to scratch the paint side with the antler, but she wasn't very big so it only scratched clear coat. Basically just a little bit of waxy residue in a line that wiped away.

I felt bad for my brother who felt somewhat responsible for the incident. There wasn't much he could have done; he was just trying not to hit her and who thinks someone like that is just going to throw themself at the car?

I got him to stop and I got out in a rage, but it only took a second or two before I realized there was nothing to be gained. Hitting her would only get me an assault charge and wouldn't undo what she did. She was probably homeless so it's not like I could make her pay for damage - that's what insurance is for. Once I calmed down a little I realized that the only positive thing was to make sure no one was going to hit her on the highway.

We have a dashcam on the 4Runner because people love cutting us off and braking hard - especially bikes. Without video proof it's hard to argue you weren't just following too closely. I've been debating whether to get one for the Supra - I didn't want the extra wires. This has helped convince me I should get one.

Dude! Your car looks awesome! Such a clean build, the advans look great. Simple but sporty. I need more photos of that ADRO swan neck wing....looks so good!

I too, love HKS products. Just got their intake kit with the enclosed box! Jealous how you're going all in on HKS with your build.

As far as photography tips go, your exposure looks pretty good, highlights might be a little blown out in the sky at the bottom in the 2nd photo but thats hard to avoid sometimes. I think something that would help visually is if you followed the rule of thirds and didn't put the car in the dead center of the frame. Following the rule of thirds will help compositionally and make the photo more interesting. IDK why, but it just looks better. For both of these photos, I personally would have moved the car to the bottom third and right third of the frame. But hey, that's just me! Happy shooting!
