Its time for Ric to go unfortunately. Cannot wait to see Liam in a seat (I am biased because he is one of us Supra dudes ? )
As much as I like Danny Ric, sadly with you ?%
LIam is laser focused and so hungry for it. They could feed him crackers and it’d be like eating filet mignon. Plus, I think Helmut sees the value of having him as his next whipping boy.

It's getting pretty clear that RedBull have been passed. McLaren and Ferrari having better cars, and Mercedes right there as well. It's anyone's race tomorrow. Max being Max is making up a few tenths per lap with his skill.

Hoping Max can keep that Red Bull at its limits all day (far ahead of Checo - the car’s baseline imo). Love Max’s sportsmanship with Lando. Now it’s Norris’ tIme to be dead serious & take it from Max. You can tell he wants it so bad. The fact he’s even hanging with Verstappen (even if the car’s pace is faster) is showing how far he’s come. No mistakes, like he said, will take him to victory.

It should be another close one ?

McLaren are idiots. They should've forced Norris to come in when the rest did the first stint. Running long cost them the race. They could've won Canada and here if they let their strategists make the strategy calls instead of Norris. The McLaren is definitely the fastest car right now.

Norris Russell battle was fun to watch, Sainz now has overtaken Russell as the class tattletal. The 3 fastest drivers in the world were on the podium today. Great race Spain was.

Right! What an incredible race ? Russel sending it on the first turn was EPIC. And the action didn’t stop there. Loved it ?

I think you’re right. McLaren does have the slight edge in that dept. However, Max and Lewis are more polished drivers. The entire sport seems to be ignoring that. I don’t think strategy alone would have done it. Sure it would have shaved off a few seconds. But he’d still have to get around Max. I also bet Max could have pushed more if he wanted to. Especially at the end. Ruth Buscombe said it well and deserves more mic ? time. Her analysis during and post race is so spot on and ahead of the other commentators. Tells it like it is. Love that!

As much as I like Lando, I think he’s being a bit naive thinking he can drive as flawless as Verstappen. Not a fan of his new piss poor (woe is me) attitude in post race interview & conference. He should keep up his friendship with Max and learn everything he can. He’s right, if they can put it all together, drive like Max (or Lewis) and get their strategy as fine tuned as Red Bull, sure he could win more races. But that’s a lot of IFs making up the sum of the total it takes to win ? as many races as they do.

This is making for quite a competitive & interesting season indeed!! Max is really showing he can do more than just drive ahead of the pack and win.

He's been showing that since 2016 ? He's only had a dominant car for the latter half of 2022 and all of 2023. The rest of his 8 years of winning in F1 he has done it in the 2nd or 3rd fastest car. Max proved everything he needed to long before he became champion. A lot of members of a certain group, I.E. fanbase (not all of them) just choose to forget that.

His move yesterday on Lando in the sprint race was fantastic!! ? I love his standard response of “yeah, I’m not really worried about the (fill in the blank)” - I can only control what I do, we do, etc. What a focused/champion way to look at it. Like Hamilton. Imo

Wife and I stayed up late last night watching the sprint and quali. Totally worth it ?

Can’t wait to see how Lando, Oscar and Max do with this race. Should be close. With Max having the confidence, skill & experience edge on them both, I think he’ll come through. Question is, who will be 2nd & 3rd?

Now we are seeing what happens when you pressure Max, similar to when he was racing hard next to Lewis he does some rather sketchy stuff to the other driver and they both pay the price.

I don’t want to here that it was Landos fault, if you can’t see Max squeezing Lando and then throwing a fit after not allowing Lando by after he clearly had damage. Oh and the continued comments to his team when they don’t have a perfect pit stop. Some of the less mature Max showing up in this race.

It’s a shame it happened between friends.

As usual, you don't have a clue what you're talking about.

Max was looking into the corner TO THE RIGHT, If you watch the replays it was the tiniest of touches. Lando's lunge on the inside earlier sending both cars off track could've ended both their races too. But Max avoided it.

It was good hard racing that we all love to see, but you can't see past your blinkered bias.

yeah Max’s racecraft under pressure is super sketchy. Moved under braking several times, reaction blocking, and just drove over into Lando for the accident. Hilarious he was complaining about Lando making late lunges as if he never did it before.

Yup, after the race of course he didn’t admit to any wrong doing. Blamed everyone and everything else, including the track/corner for why it happened. Just typical. As I’ve stated before, when he is winning easily he is a great on track driver, considerate to his team and teammates, not to mention rival drivers, but the second it gets slightly tough, back to his old self.

What bothers me the most is there was no reason to do it. He likely would have traded the lead a couple of times before the end of the race. They were evenly matched and whoever had DRS would have the advantage, so I just don’t understand why after all these years he continues to do it. No one is catching him in the drivers championship.

you can't see past your blinkered bias.

You should quote yourself. He didn’t do any thing that Max wasn’t doing in 21. Dive bomb, blow the apex and then try and make it before track limits. Max signature overtake. But you’re so blinded by your “Dutch God” you won’t ever find fault.

Where did I say Max wasn't at fault exactly?
