Ethanol question

For those of you more experienced fellas with Ethanol im currently running e50 on a bm3 multimap

Would there any issue with me always running e50 or whatever mix?

or should every now and then fill it up with full 91?

I usually only run e40, only time I fill up 91 only is if I am somewhere I can’t get to ethanol.

But it’s not my daily, e40 will inherently lower MPG. As more fuel for the same power level.

Also ethanol can wear out rubber items, so if it’s gonna sit a while they suggest not leaving ethanol in the tank. Think that’s more because it’s hydrophilic.

I ran e85 in my previous cars for years. Never pump gas. I even took out fuel components and checked the rubber for issues. Nothing. That is a myth in modern cars.

Yea newer cars won’t have these issues as much, but it will degrade rubber and plastic in systems not designed for it.
