If A90 is $65k I’m out. They should keep the same ratio as the Toyota 86 which is about 11% (USD $26,500 /CAD $29,900) for the car to be a success in Canada. Otherwise, MK4 Story will be repeated which was pulled out from Canadian market in 1995 due to low sales.
False. Saw one in New West, BC in a Toy dealership in 1998, was a 98 6spd model too. It was $80k Cdn.

Is the only leather color available seriously black? And red only for the launch models?

Gotta have more colors than that I hope...
What, only 1.5 color choices for this car???!!! Black and Black with Red???!!!

Weird, I wonder why they thought that would fly.

My favorite colour so far, this with a dark brown interior and a manual would be a keeper forever.

Internet at it's best...
Canadian Spec Supra was sold new from 1993 to 1995. They sold less than 300 units. That's a fact.
Any newer was a US spec.

Yup, that's the internet alright. 1 person says something, because he saw it with his own two eyes, then another claims its BS and that his interpretation of events, as read on the internet is indeed fact, without citing a single piece of evidence.

I searched around and couldn't find anything to say otherwise, and wikipedia does have a bit saying it was pulled in 96 here, but hey, its wikipedia, so that doesn't mean much. I remember someone saying something in a similar conversation many years ago on a forum that the car was not pulled from Canada, just that they sold so few in those years that it was believed they weren't even offered, and many figure dealers just refused to keep any stock due to how they were selling. That said, my time machine appears to be broken so I can't jump back to 1998 and check that VIN on that Black TT 98 Supra that was definitely on the show room floor of New Westminister Toyota, for $80k cdn. Seems pretty unlikely to me that a dealer would have gone through all that expense and hassle just to advertise a car they supposedly couldn't sell in Canada anymore.

And it gets worst...lol
I'm canadian and been around/owned Supras for a long time. Canadian specs MK4 Supras were sold from 1993 to 1995 and pulled out because of the low sales due to unrealistic price back then.
Now, back to topic.

Sure does. Oh, you've been around Supras for a long time, I guess we should take everything you say at point blank then? Still no references cited...

Here's one...
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/glo...two-ontario-owners-dont-care/article27317069/

The 2nd car is a 1997 Canadian car, the guy bought it from the owner of a Toyota dealer in 2000. Article says they sold them here till 97. Its possible that one I saw back in 98 was a left over 97 model, or this article has the year off by one. I found a really late NA Canadian car on Craigslist locally about a year two ago too, it was a 97 or 98. I contacted the owner because I wasn't even sure they had sold the NAs up here, I had never seen one in my 22 years of Supra ownership. Anyways, he was original owner and it was definitely a Canadian car.

It seems that all colours are from the old paint bin of BMW, which they do make quality paint.
Anyone have any guesses on what blue this is from BMW? The photos so far. I'm really hoping for San Marino Blue Metallic as this looks like the closest thing that BMW makes, I think.

Not the best pics, but its overcast so you can see how it'll look with indirect light. This is in TX.

As of right now, that seems to be the case. I'm sure in the future there will be more colors, but this is what it took to keep costs down
In my market : Canada. We won't have the Launch edition available. Only for the US market on the first 1500 with limited colors. If I want the Red interior I would have to choose between 3 colors: White, Black or Phantom Grey.

Thats a good point. I'm still waiting to find out Canadian prices, hoping they will follow the usual USA/Canada conversion for car prices. A $50,000 USD car is usually around $65,000 Canadian dollars.
At 65k CAD we will get the Premium which is 55kUSD at the moment.
