@NDR008 there isn't a "automatic mode" but the car will detect that you switched out tires and will tell you it needs to readjust and ask you to perform calibration. It's merely a push of a button and then drive for approximately 5 min or a couple of miles and its done. Nothing else to do until you change tires again. I'm constantly changing tires off/on for autocross and it's not an issue.

Actually it seems there is an automatic mode, but the dealer has to program it in, then the car knows the tyres corresponding to a set of sensors.
Either way - as you say, I decided to just use the manual and re-learn method (as I have not figure out a real advantage from the automatic mode).

Wait what do you tell dealership to reprogram them? Do you pay or its included under warranty cause I recently changed the tpm sensor due to broken valve and now I keep getting error tire not recognized

Not exactly.

So I have 4 wheels from factory with factory tyres and sensors. Let's call them Set A.

I have shorter 4 wheels aftermarket with non genuine aftermarket sensors and winter tyres, let's call them Set B.

When I use set A, I select automatic mode and the car detected them with all the sizes and so on.

When I use ser B, I select manual mode and follow the display instructions to drive X km till it learns the sensors of set B.
I have to do the learning process from the car menu each time I refit set B.

Is your sensor a Toyota one? Did you only change one? Maybe you have to go to the dealer...

Thanks for that explanation. In this example my set is A which was original from manufacturer. And I only replaced one

You replaced only one, because (my understanding based on other systems) the car knows it has to start learning when it cannot find 4 wheels. Right now it recognises 2 or 3 wheels and is confused about where is the 3rd or 4th wheel.
