I’ve had my AA downpipe installed for about 1300 miles and got a CEL today. Checked codes and got a P0141 code.
Any advice on how to get rid of the CEL? Not tuned btw. Thanks in advance

Did yours have the GESI cat or the newer AA cat?

Mine has the GESI cat
I've read that AA had some GESI issues so they switched to their own in-house cat recently, though it could just be a money saving change

Nonetheless, if it were me, I'd re-run the break in period, and then if it happens again, contact AA for a replacement

I had the same problem and had to do the replacement with AA. They make their own cats now instead of the GESI ones that they were having trouble with. They'll ask you for a $1,000 deposit on a card to send you their new version but will send you a return label to send your current DP back and will refund the deposit once received. Just sucks having to pay for the removal and install of the new DP again if you don't have the ability to swap the parts yourself.

from my experience, the AA have been more reliable with my customers than GESI
but then again there way more GESI cats on the market than AA so maybe that's why we see more failures

Did the break-in again yesterday and the CEL went away. If it comes back, I will contact AA for a replacement.

Thanks everyone for their input!
keep us updated please

@goon39 how is it holding up? I just got the same p0141 cel today after having the new non-gesi one installed last Friday and driving for around 110 miles. Took it back to the shop and they ordered and are replacing the second o2 sensor. However, doing some googling came across this thread https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2091234 . Most recent post today from someone who had the same CEL pop up after replacing the o2 sensor, and ended up needing to replace the sensor and downpipe...

Thankfully, still no CEL after re-doing the break-in.
