JB4 password reset issue

So, I am retired after today?. Unfortunately, I’ve used my work phone for all my personal accounts for years and years. That number stays with the phone which means I’m having to transfer all my shit to a new personal phone number. What a pain. Anyway, I can’t remember my JB4 password in order to load the app on my new phone and get logged in.

No problem, right? Just use the forgot password option and then reset it from the link in the email? Wrong? I get the reset link email just fine but the link takes you straight to a log in page and you have to log in with your current password before you can do anything. What the actual fuck? If I remembered my current password I WOULDNT NEED A LINK TO RESET IT.

Anyone seen this before. I reached out to BMS twice now and they have not responded.

Not sure if you’ll lose your user settings but what if you created a new account and asked them to link your jb4 to it?

I wouldn’t mind going that route but I can’t even get BMS to reply to my email. Fortunately, I have my Map 6 Jesse settings written down so no big deal if I have to start over.

When I emailed them to unlock my used JB4 they responded within a couple of hours, and that was fairly late on a Friday. Not sure why they're giving you radio silence.

Making a new account won't really help you, as far as I'm aware JB4 units are hard-linked to one account and have to be "unlocked" to access with a new one, which has to be done via email.

There are multiple emails you can try on their contacts page, perhaps try emailing one of the other ones to see if you get a response and explain that the normal JB4 support email you were originally contacting would not respond? They're all the same company, so they can probably help you get in contact.

Closing the loop. Finally got a response after a couple days. Spent the next week or so sending screen shots of the reset password link taking me back to the normal log in screen. I don’t think they believed me! Finally, Chris simply reset my password and I was able to get back in.
