Ironically we aren't even getting the Final Edition in the USA. Plus that "dealer" got banned from this forum so byeeeeeeeeee.
Just need 'Eric the Vendor' to follow him out

Loaded up MHD stage 2/93 octane! Almost shit myself when I had about 32 CELs, but they all cleared and car fired right up. It seems my BimmerCode changes are gone? Auto start / stop kicked in, car shut off and I shit myself again thinking I blew the car up! I don’t mind working on things, but the ECU changes give me real anxiety for some reason. 50 and raining. Can’t wait any longer, going for a test drive!

Weird. While I had a number of errors and random bullshit appear after flashing the Stage 2 Tune, none of my Bimmercode or iDrive settings were touched, including start/stop deactivation.

I had tyre pressure and oil quality errors in iDrive and a CEL for my DP, despite telling MHD to STFU about it. I'm waiting to see if the DP errors go away but all the others eventually did after a few cycles. MHD support were less than helpful about it too with relatively timely but very terse responses. The documentation is obsolete too which makes life harder if you are using it as your first port of call.

Yeah, seriously! Everything is flawless on my side, guess I have to redo all the BimmerCode stuff? Also feels like the fake engine noise is back on? Will play around with it this weekend I suppose.

I also hate/stress messing with the ECU! (It’s the WTF would I do and how much $$s + time off road if I borked the thing!)

I updated the MHD app on my iPad the other day when I was doing the new battery reset thing only for the app to then complain “You must update to the latest maps” and locked me out of any changes until I did them.. The embarrassing part is my job is a firmware design engineer! ? (Maybe it’s because I know how easy it is for things to go south!) ?

You must be having some fun with the stage 2 difference from stock!!! I know my mates car on stage 2 is quite a lot quicker than my stage 1 !!

Oh, and it’s worth remembering that when it comes to replacing your battery one day in the future, BimmerCode is for setting up the new battery spec (if it is different) while MHD has the reset part in one of its menus where I didn't even consider MHD had this in the app when I went to change the battery.

edit: I wonder if your BimmerCode loss is because of Femto work? I didn’t get any setting loss, although I have done very little BimmerCode changes. .

Yeah I have no idea why BC reset! I mean, the car didn’t have a battery for 11 days while the ECU was out.

I was expecting a smoother experience to be honest but hopefully once it sorts itself out, it all stays sorted. ?

Got some pics from the guys at Motorsport images. They do great work.

waiting for the brake vent ducts and the FARA guys at Sebring to open the schedule can sign up for April 18-19.

in the meantime looking for any sim out there to get a little familiar with the track. I’m afraid I will end up under an airplane in the neighboring airfield. ?

Great photos. How are you mounting that gopro on the bumper?

Looks like a base so no sensors. I just didn't know how the actual mount is mounted. On the bumper (would probably shake a F ton) or to the bumper beam.
Correct. Base model. I punched a hole in the place where sensor goes and bolted an aluminum GoPro mount to the bumper.

I bought the mount from an aircraft supplier, so is “aeronautical grade stuff.

Then an aluminum GoPro case and a UV lens protector that can be exchanged.

got good footage and the camera is unscathed. Will try again on my next weekend.

Started the car up this morning and my BimmerCode settings seem to be back? Auto start stop is gone anyways!

Heading out to see how MHD stage 2 feels when it’s 20*F outside
