Just watched practice for Shanghai. Looks like tire degradation and management is going to play a big role, which bodes well for McLaren.

Ferrari notably look better and Hamilton also seems to be getting more comfortable with the car.

It is great to see Lewis, Max and Oscar 1 2 3 for the sprint. Arguably the 3 best drivers in the field starting in front.

Just finished Sprint Quali, wow... I don't think anyone saw that coming.

WTF is going on with RB. I know Max is going to go down as one of the greatest drivers of F1 ever. and I can see why some may even put his name in the hat as the "GOAT" but does RB only make a car he can drive? Is he really better than every teammate? I know some say Yuki should've got that seat, and I can't really disagree. But Lawson also beat Yuki a couple times brand new in a F1 car, so i don't think Yuki would be up there challenging Max right now.

Just really reminds me of Honda and Marc where no one else could ride the bike.

Glad to see Stroll up there, and Albon out qualify Sainz. I don't have a single issue with Carlos, I love him, but so many said Albon doesn't belong and Sainz will embarrass him. I know it's just the SQ and 2nd race and all. but I hope they are close, regardless, Im glad to see Williams further up the order and Bearman having a decent run too.

I know what you're saying about Bearman, I'm kinda a Haas fan particularly with the Toyota deal so it's nice to see that they maybe somewhat competitive in the midfield.

Great drive from Hamilton. Looks like that RedBull is a tire eater. 2/3 into the stint the drop in pace is greater than the cars around it. Even the Mercedes was coming up. They have their work cut out for them to fix that. Norris proving to be way too dependant on the car. Piastri got unlucky in Australia that he got stuck on the grass, but I think over the season he'll finish ahead.

Yeah I think Piastri is going to make a strong case for the lead McLaren driver if Lando keeps making mistakes.

Looks like Red Bull might just struggle for race pace because of how hard it is on tires. Same thing happened before the safety car last weekend.

Yup exactly. Max can squeeze out a few fast laps, and then it starts falling behind the rest. The good thing for Max is if McLaren and Ferrari keep trading blows, and he keeps getting podiums, he'll be right there when they fix that issue. He was 7 points behind before the sprint, and only 2 after.

Fingers crossed they do (fix the issue for Max)?

nah... lol

I'm betting after the race Liam and Checo are still going to have the same amount of points this year. But Checo is at home on the couch lol. I'm sure RB internally are not happy at all. Paid off Checo and then the replacement is sitting dead last on the grid lol.

Yeah I can't believe it. I mean, nobody thought he was going to beat Max but... Last? In Australia it was wet so you're like, sure. Shit happens. But there's no excuse for this. Meanwhile Hadjar and Tsunoda are doing a fantastic job with the B-team. I'm curious if Max could do better in that car instead ? instead of trading Lawson, trade Max if the RB is a better car lol.

The cars got an operating window narrower than Trumps morals and Lawson hasn't got enough experience. Marko keeps making crap decisions regarding the Redbull 2nd seat for some reason.

Good race, Ferrari need to get on top of their drivers. Both were disrespectful. Hamilton saying he makes the decisions rather than the team is utter nonsense. Same for Lando, a couple more laps and he might not have finished at all. Should've backed off as soon as the team told him to. Max looked like a boring race in no man's land, but managed to somehow drag that thing to P4. Those points will count if RedBull gets on top of their issues.
Lawson will be out and replaced next race. Has to be.

Dude…. poor Lawson ?. He was good in the runner up RB team. I bet he’s wishing Yuki was picked and he could have gotten more training time in. That top Bull seems un-drivable, except Max ofc. Now I really want to see Max in a Mercedes, Ferrari or McLaren. That would be something!! Or see Yuki give it a go and prove he can do it or the theory that Max is the only one that drive that dadgum thing.

And agree Fred needs to reel both those Ferrari guys in or threaten to hire Max. That’ll shut them up ?. Imagine being forced to compete against him. It’s probably why most drivers don’t want that 2nd seat, if already doing well. Why put yourself in that position…. ?‍♂ Especially now. It’s going to be a tough year for RB if they can’t get that car up to temp for Max.

As a Ferrari fan for 15+ years I thought I could handle the circus they put on every weekend. Now I need therapy after that official result (don't wanna spoil the fun for others).
