Nice! Glad to hear it worked for you too. The gearshifts on his tune are insane, they are butter smooth and it feels like it pushes the car between shifts. I highly recommend him even if you aren't having a converter issue.

Me too brother and thanks for creating this thread. I've been driving with the old issue for over 10k miles on my new trans & converter and extremely happy now that it's resolved.

Recently fitted a Pure converter and built trans and having issues with getting the rpm high enough. We are only getting to 3500 rpm.

We have tried all XHP maps and settings, have a custom tune from Rod which he revised a few times also but still no joy.

Anyone have a similar issue and have a solution for this ?
Last option is to pull it out and ship it back to Pure.

Be more specific "getting to 3500 rpm"

What? If you're trying to spool the turbo from a stop, tune in and turn on the transbrake, something the 6hp can do from the factory.

Yes trying to spool from a launch.
It's a pure billet converter that was meant to be a 4500 custom stall for me.
Tried everything possible with Rod and the engine tuner and nothing works.

So without digging into everything else, I'm just trying to figure out if the converter is working like it should, or if they sent me the wrong order because they did screw up my initial order and took 3 months to get this to me.
Trying another converter today and will ship mine back to Pure.

4500 stall doesn't mean you can footbrake to 4500rpm, lmao (it wouldnt spool the turbo anyway, because rpm doesnt equal load).

Use a transbrake and stop wasting everyone's time (including your own)

Yes, 8hp. Medium case ZF. Po-tah-toe

pro-flow (aus) also has ZF brake modules, but they need to flash your tcm.
