The car is already running so the fob really shouldn't be a factor in what you're experiencing. I see someone asked for a video so we could see exactly what is happening but that hasn't happened yet. I also mentioned that the WRONG battery may be installed as some vehicle DO NOT support that feature.

Sounds like the easiest way to resolve this since you aren't really providing any other details that people have mentioned then I suggest coding out the start stop feature.
he said when the auto start stop activates at a stop. so its not running lol

The car does not completely cycle off, yes the engine shuts off but that is not the same thing as you hitting the start button to cycle the entire vehicle OFF.

Completely different

if the starter is intermittently going bad when you come to a stop and auto start/stop activate and when you try to accelerate it wont move so you try to start the car with the start button no?

I could be wrong but I thought the restart feature was driven from the transmission and not the starter - Look up “Hydraulic Impulse Oil System (HIS)”. I could be way off but this might be having issues in your trans?

Edit: I was wrong, it seems this is just there to ensure the transmission oil pressure is enough to be ready for restart. I guess it could still could be causing a restart issue if this isn’t working properly?
