Driver Side DRL dimmer than passenger

As the title states my driver side DRL is dimmer than passenger side, Main headlamps seem fine but I did crash my Supra a year ago which ended up replacing passenger side headlight, trying to figure out if I replace the module will it rectify my brightness or do I need to buy a whole headlight? Search function didn’t bring me to an answer.

are you 100% sure? They kinda look dimmer at certain angles. Have you taken a photo of both head on and compared?

I wish I took a photo but yes I’m 1000% sure lol the light on the DRL bar doesn’t illuminate the front nearly as bright as the passenger side does, it’s almost as if it fades out

Well, probably not what you want to hear, but I doubt that replacing the module will increase the brightness on the older DRL LED strip to match that of the new one. In addition, since it's been a year, the new DRL may be noticeably brighter than the one you previously replaced. I believe that the general consensus on replacing LED DRLs is to do it in pairs, for consistant brightness.

Just noticed mine is doing the same, it's also my driver's side and it's driving me crazy. So I doubt a crasg has anything to do with it.

Mine is the same way, what I found out when I bought a new DRL LED module, the clear tube has “fallen out” or dislodged and not sitting flush anymore. If you look straight down on mine you’d see the drive side tube sticking out more than the passenger side. I took the headlight off and hit the back side with my hand and got it seated better, it’s brighter now but still not as bright as my right side. It’s much better. Before it was really bad it was very dim and why I bought the new module.

If it's the same reason mine was dimmer, then it's the tube fallen out of its slot. only way to fix it properly would be to open the light. the LED module is actually pretty cheap, like 60-80$ from Toyota, but you can get the LED boards from alibaba for like 50$ and easily swap them. IF it is the DRL tube that's slipped out you can remove the light and i slapped the back of the housing with my palm holding the light upwards and that caused the tube to slide down more but still wasn't seated perfectly. That also helped with how dim it was.

I believe it's called Lumen depreciation and like most things probably varies from individual components.
