I know this is going to sound crazy. But, it's as if my driver's side seat bolsters have gotten...skinnier. The car is suddenly almost undrivable with the bolsters hugging my sides. I've had the car for 2 years and 16K miles (bought used at 6K miles) and NEVER once felt uncomfortable in the car until now. Passenger side seats still 100% comfortable.
  1. I have not gotten fatter. I'm 6'0" and weigh 220 lbs.
  2. The electric bolster control still works.
  3. 22K miles on the car (2023).
  4. The car is valeted occasionally - who knows what they might have done.
  5. The driver's side bolsters measure about 1-inch "tighter" than the passenger side bolsters. Measured from seam to seam.
Has anyone else experienced this? I found nothing when searching. I'm at the dealership now for diagnostics of this problem but I'm already expecting the worst (a wear and tear explanation). Any advice is welcomed.

Uploading images. I did a bad job of holding the measuring tape still while taking a photo with the other hand. But you can see the difference.

I remember the bolsters can be adjusted with the seat buttons, did you already try it?

Bro it’s all in your head. If bolster still works than only one thing you gained weight. Oh wait! Maybe the valet put g80 bucket seats underneath that seat cover!

Yes. I mentioned in my list that the bolster controls still work. So they get even tighter and then release to this position. The measurement was made with both seats at the max width.

So I only gained weight when sitting on the driver's seat? And how do you explain the measurements?

One seat is used more than the other so ofc it’s gonna deform from original state. So probably middle cushion sunk in and sides came in.

Possible. How do you feel about this happening at 22K miles? Caving in this significantly at 22K miles and not an obese driver. Genuinely curious what other customers would think if this was them.

Maybe you should see a doctor and get a CT Scan on your head. Might be a tumor.

My seam-to-seam are 16.0 inch full "in", 16.75 full "out". Notably, seat memory settings do not move the bolsters.

Full "in" feels like shit when i tried it so i can understand the concern.
