Any running AMS catted downpipe

I’m have warranty so thats kind of holding me back getting a ams catted dp. I’m debating to take a chance hoping nothing goes wrong or just wait until 3 or 4 years now when my warranty is over..lol..

I’m in hawaii so I’m glad I don’t have to worry about that. I just hoping to not get a cel if i go AMS catted but so far it looks promising from all the people that have them on. I’m thinking they use gesi that is different from AA which is a hit or miss but I’m just assuming
Where in Hawaii are you? I'm on Big Island, be awesome to meet up if you are! Considering getting the AA DP myself...

You won't have warranty issues with either downpipe. If you blow your engine or you sense something is really off, just take it off before taking it into the dealer.

Yeah that was my thought. Be a PITA, but certainly an option.

As you probably already know, you can get higher decibel sound with better tone by getting an aftermarket cat-back. I went with Dinan because it produces a lower tone that is not obnoxious in either normal or sport mode. The normal mode forces the exhaust through a resonator/muffler, whereas sport mode eliminates the muffler entirely. There is a bit of drone at highway speeds, but I tend to keep it in normal mode while cruising on the highway. Borla also has a very nice design, but is hundreds more expensive.

I have the awe resonated touring exhaust which is fully opened. It has a nice deep tone and no drone. With the catted dp it will be louder but not obnoxiously loud. I heard clips online with catted dp with awe and it sounds good. You can hear the turbo from the exhaust a little more from what people say.

Thanks for all your input guys! I decided to go with AMS over AA since more people I talk to had no cel. I’m just hoping I made the right choice.lol

The borla with the Chrome or Black Chrome tips is comparable in price to Dinan. Just ordered mine last week. The ugly carbon fibre tips are a few hundred dollar upcharge and most sites don't advertise the other tips for some reason.

I picked up the Dinan for $1400 with choice of black or polished stainless steel tips. I selected the latter to break up the blackness and mimic the factory tips.
