Has anyone experienced a slight thunking noise at low speed turns (right or left handed)? This noise reliably happens when I'm going 5 to 6 mph and I turn the wheel left or right. The noise will also happen at low steering angles as well, think lane changes. Happens in 1st or 2nd gear. I first started noticing it when leaving my driveway and thought I might be imagining things, but it has slowly gotten worse over time. Dealer had it for a few days, but I had to come in and show them the noise. They didn't notice anything externally wrong with suspension parts or diff, and want to blame the tires. I'm running Continental ECS 02's in stock size.

Lowered? Springs? Coilovers? Camber plates? Suspension mods? SPL/Verkline Parts? Could be spring bind or top nut on the strut shaft is loose. Could be a loose nut or sway bar. Could be anything.

You need to provide more information otherwise it's just random guessing.

All stock suspension parts are in use. Running lug stud conversion with 10mm spacers up front and 12mm spacers in the rear, that's the only change from stock. They've been in use for a year a half now, with the noise starting to occur maybe 5 months ago. Only happens at low speeds, never at higher speeds. Noise is definitely coming from the rear of the car.

Listen carefully and make sure its not the interior cross bar. My donkey ass forgot a 10mm socket inside the battery tub and went insane for a couple of days.
A mate of mine that lives in the country bought himself a really cheap Subaru because the owner was tired of a clunking noise from the rear of the car under certain driving conditions. It was one of those pub buys from a local he knew in the town. The original owner had multiple visits to the dealer techs and no resolution and got pissed off with it and sold it dirt cheap to my mate. My mate lifted the trunk cover and removed the golf ball rolling around in the spare wheel well and had a cheap non clunking car. My mate was very talented mechanically with a great workshop and figure how hard can it be to fix this thing. Turns out pretty not hard at all, lol.

Thank you, sir! You just made my morning. Snort laughed and almost spat my coffee out.

My 2019 and 2023 Supra mk5 have both had clunks from steering when on hard right hand down reversing from my garage. I just put it down to a torsion bar or something unloading. Maybe the LSD but it seems to come from the front.👍

Interior cross bar was replaced with a cusco harness bar. The sound is definitely not coming from right behind my head though. lol

Any other ideas?

What was done to your car suspension wise?
