and remember to replace the plug with one of those valved thingys from Amazon.

I would not say that. It's not particularly hard but most cars you only need to open the hood to pour the oil in and you change the filter from below when you drop the oil. So pull the drain and while it's draining swap out the filter and then reinstall the drain plug. Slide out from under and pop the hood, put in the oil. No knuckle dragging mechanics leaning over fenders and scratching them etc.

I'm mechanically challenged and even I can do it. Supra is one of the simplest cars you can do an oil change on. The hardest part is getting the oil filter out of the housing. You can 100% do it.
I'm in the same boat: hesitant to do my own oil change because I don't want to mess up.

For some of the more simple tasks, I'd trust myself if I had no experience working on the Supra before I trusted Toyota's "trained Supra techs". If you're really adamant about not doing your own work, and what you need done isn't warranty work, go to a euro/BMW specialized third party shop with glowing reviews online.

Heard plenty of horror stories of Toyota dealers screwing things up or failing to fix problems because they have no idea what they're doing with a car such as this.

So...... I got married. And my wonderful wife got me a groom's cake.

I've never heard of this, but it's basically a wedding cake but made of the groom's favorite things.
Born and raised in Philly.... Go Birds!
BA and MS in Boston....Go Sox!
My dogs Bear and Ubba....
and the Supra on top. They even did the license plate and badging o_O

Like other owners I was also looking for a cup holder solution. I found this on Etsy (search on "GR Supra Cup Holder") and it's 3D printed with a GR logo and it fits pretty well.

knew i wasn't alone.... i commend those that work on their own car.
I actually have a lift that my Supra sits on and I'm still hesitant. Tire swaps for Camry winter driving? No problem. Oil change on the Supra? Looks easy but there's always that what if I'm worried about.

You have a lift but you are hesitant about oil changes? I'm not being critical here, more curious, how is that possible?

Could just be a storage solution? Lots of guys with expansive collections on lifts that don't do their own work.

My first ever oil change I did myself was on the Supra. There's a million Youtube videos on it and at the end of the day its basic maintenance and the Supra was beyond easy to get to everything. Not like the GT86 spark plugs... yikes.

My only worry was spilling oil all over.. which I did a fantastic job at might I add.... Kitty Litter and some stomping and problem solved.
