A week ago I changed set of wheels, summer tires with BMW TPMS, set from Ali, all sensors manufactured in 2023, used for 2 years, 3rd year now. All worked but recently, I received this TPMS malfunction info already 3 times, once it appeared for few seconds and disappeared on its own. Now it's been constantly on, with a TPMS icon on the dash board. Reset through iDrive menu doesn't help.

Have you guys experienced a similar issue? These TPMS shall withstand approximately 5-7 years before the battery runs out. Besides, there's no "read" on any of them, 4 are gone, so I assume it may be the receiver's malfunction. Where is it located on the car? Since the car is still on the warranty, I'm going to schedule an appointment to have it checked.

I'm thinking it would be hard to believe that none of the 4 sensors work, and they all broke or died at once - more likely that there is 1 fault with the software for example. That said, I do not have a solution for you other than to suggest considering things other than the sensors being at fault.

It won't be fun but you could revert to the other wheels for a bit and ensure that those sensors are picked up. It would mean that the car's system is working.

There also hand held TPMS readers that can code them and such, a tire shop or the dealer might have one and can communicate with the sensors, if you aren't able to solve it on your own.

Well that kinda happened to my daily when put on winter tires last year. No read out of pressure of temps at all. On summer tires now it's fine again.
I could imagine that as soon one sensor is bad the whole system just goes in a fault mode.

But yes first and easiest thing to do first would get the senosr checked with one of the hand held readers.

Unfortunately it seems to be the case, what a pity.

This is what I plan to do, quickest and least troubling thing to do.

I might do that after above check anyway because I think I'll be again traveling abroad for another 6 months and car goes back to the garage :/

Thank you all for the answers.
