Anyone have any idea what this is for? I’m not seeing it in the listed material, instructions or videos online.

it attaches to the turbo, uses the c-clip from the oem turbo inlet to attach and other side is fed into the silicone hose and clamped. I personally didn’t include it on my v3 and just went from the silicone hose clamped to the turbo (My armaspeed intake before switching to mst attaches that way too)

sounds like I can just skip it then?

I see what you mean - it goes into the smaller end of the silicon turbo inlet pipe and the clamp would go over it. Any reason I should do one type of install vs the other?

was this a holdover from the v1, does it make a better seal or anything else I should worry about? Just a little confusing how many of the install videos just skip over it…or don’t explain why they did.

thanks for your reply!

I think MST just threw it in there as a quality of life update. it just slightly makes it easier to fit the whole inlet onto the turbo. I don’t think there is a real difference in doing one over the other.

Gotcha - ya I left it off and installed

broke the stupid breather hose clamp everyone else seems to (but promised myself I wouldn’t). Zip tied it…I think all good!
