Hello everyone! I got a Nitro Yellow Supra over the weekend and absolutely love it. Unfortunately I'm running into a bit of an issue with bugs. I noticed on the dealer lot that there was a lot of very small bugs that were very attracted to the car. I thought it was just the area since I had gone to a dealership that was outside of where I lived in. Just gave the car a quick wash today and it was flocking with a ton of small bugs. This is a bit of a pain for me. Is anyone else running into a similar issue? If so, how did you guys deal with this? I'd also love to hear about how you handle bugs on cars in general. Trying not to ruin the car's paint and film too much...

Any advice is appreciated!

I'll take it tomorrow as it's currently in the garage with not many bugs. I do want to note that these are not dead bugs. These are live bugs flocking around all over the car. Not a specific area.

Yellow is a natural color in nature (flowers/polllen,etc), so they are automatically attracted to it, especially in the spring time. Plus, there are certain waxes/polishes/sealants that give off odors that attract them too. You could have a combination of both going on.

Any particular chemicals that you recommend that fend off this annoying horde? haha

kayos90, I'm actually stumped. I don't have any suggestions to keep them off. Only option is to drive really fast and then they will all get transferred to the front bumper. LOL. What's the last thing to go through a bugs mind when it hits the windshield?.....His a$$.....

Let me know if you find anything out! I'm curious about the answer to this.

I don't know if there is any coincidence but I have to wear a hi-visibility vest when out on jobsites and I notice it also attracts insects. I think it's something with the yellow color as one poster above pointed out.
Keep a good coat of wax on it and drive really fast and the bugs should slide right off...lol!

Same color same problems... it only really bothers me when they're all over the doors and a couple get in with me. They can't hang on at high speed... uh, I mean the posted speed limit... ;) so they're long gone before I roll into the garage.

I have a nocturne, and have owned black cars all my life: anyone who’s had black cars knows they’re a magnet for spiders and their webs.

We could do a breakdown of what color car attracts what:

Yellow: flying insects
Black: spiders
Blue: bird bombs
Red: ?
Silver:
Etc.......

Hey, I hear your pain. Use to have a yellow TRD TC. Now I deal with a white Supra. I recommend getting ceramic coating. There are different types. I would recommend the daily driving one. It's thicker and more repellent. That is the first thing I did. Easier to wash bugs off.
