That is the stock exhaust from what i was told.Does anyone know what exhaust system that is?
If thatās stock thatās incredible.
Very nice! Those wheels really make the car look even meaner, lower and wide. Not that the car isnāt wide to begin with. Let us know about your impressions. Here the link to the Supra preview today! Link and sub for more videos when I pick up my Supra
My first impression was not what I expected. From the start, I came to the preview knowing this car was powered by BMW and pretty much the parts bin are all BMW. The car is priced 50k~, so this falls in range of low/mid range BMWs, example 330 to the 340. My expectation was lots of plastic but that was not what i experience. The interior was very well made, leather seats similar to lexus rc350 seats. The dash were soft touch, but Im not sure if it was real leather. The carbon fiber look like BMW, with is a good thing IMO. One thing that had me surprise was the touchscreen Idrive, its hard to explain but it looked BMW but felt not BMW. Few things that i was not very fond of were the center console, they completely removed the storage place, they just cup holders. So you dont really have a place to put your cellphone or wallet away when you get into the car. Another thing was the trunk release, it was a awkwardly placed button on the door. Also there is no latch to the trunk, either you use the button or the key fob to release the trunk. The one thing that actually stood out to me the most in a good way is the body quality. All the panels and doors were not like Toyotas Prius or Matrix where if you push or lean to it, you can feel it push in or feel hollow. They were all very solid, feel better than my M4 i would say lol. When you close the doors or trunk, you feel this thud, in a good way. Imagine like a G wagon door, it has a solid closing feel to it. Overall, coming from a BMW background, I honest put the material and build quality of the new Supra to be on Par or better then most current M models.Very nice! I been in a few FRS/BRZ but cant really recall how the seat felt. The one in the Supra hugs pretty well, it is also adjustable but i did not get a chance to play with it today.Have you sat in an 86 before? How do the seats compare widthwise?
Good analysis. Canāt wait to sit in one to see for myself. I , as well, come from the Porsche/bmw crowd, my daily is a M3CS. 50k is a good bargain, if the quality, and performance on par, and if what you are saying about the interior is true, should be a hit on that alone. My first impression was not what I expected. Also I know the car has a lot of fake vents, but I believe the front vents can be removed to air the brakes. But also the door vents might be removable if you take off the plastic in the door jab.
Thanks. The wife and I are a bit squishy, so we ended up having to...mold the side bolstering out with our squish. Was wondering if it's gonna be the same with the Supra.I been in a few FRS/BRZ but cant really recall how the seat felt. thanks for the vid. I can guarantee this car will not see anywhere close to 24mpg in my handsHere the link to the Supra preview today! Link and sub for more videos when I pick up my Supra
