I'm assuming before tax? That's pretty good. Anytime you get a discount from both the Manufacturer and the Dealer then it's more than fair in my opinion. The downside is you are financing it for 72 months @ 2.79 which is hefty.
Yeah for some it can be. But that's always been my strategy. I finance it for as long as I can and then pay the vehicle off within a year or two. So no harm really. At least not for me.

This would be my official first post. Nice to be amongst you all.

Thought I would share what I paid for my premium Turbulence Gray: $46325 rebate included. Tuesday 26th of May @ 2100 hrs. My Build Date was 10/19.
The Dealership, Moss Bros,, Moreno Valley California. They have three left, one Yellow, one Blue,, and another Turbulence Gray and all Premium.
Was it only the $3500 rebate or did you qualify for other rebates as well? (Loyalty, college grad, military)?
Thanks

Only the $3500 was used in the deal.

What really helped matters was the fact that I sent out no less than 30 emails to dealers explaining that I was financed thru my credit union, and that I had no trade in, and wanted their absolute best price for that day. And if I liked it, ( the price quote) I would come buy the car.
One email came back with the above number.
So I then used that email as Leverage to try and get dealers to match it.
And Moss Bros' did.

Can I know what was the dealership that originally quoted you that price?
Iā€™m trying to buy one now and the struggle is real! Iā€™m going to try what you just said! Thanks for sharing!!
Hoping I can get one for the same price.

Also, what was your total with TTL?

Who was your salesperson? I sent them an email and they quoted me $52,000 including the $3,500 rebate. Iā€™m not in CA but willing to have the car shipped to WA. Thank you in advance!

All I can offer is, "you will get better results" if you are there in person.

At first, they gave me a good quote,
but it wasn't where I wanted to be. Then I showed them the email from AutoNation Irvine.
I pretended that I was getting the email as I was talking to them. And told them "wow", it's okay if you can make the deal, I'm going to go to buy this one,, I proceeded to show them the email.
At first they said they couldn't match it. So I said, no problem, and picked up my paperwork and Blank check from my bank, and started walking to the door.
But before I can even make it to the doors,, they had already started calling me back. That's when I knew I had them.
The conversation then went this way... if I match that price or even beat it, would you buy one of my cars tonight. I told them no! at first, because I wanted to go and see the red one, to see if I like that color in person. But I was only stalling.

So I left, drove Around the corner and parked for 1hr. All the while they were texting me saying,, "I hope you return and buy one of our cars."
After the hour break, I just showed up, I told him, can you have me out in 1 hour ,, And the rest is History.

It was,, all in the timing.

That evening, I dealt with the General manager and a Sales manager.
Sales manager's name was Shawn.

That's my MO, and I've gotten great deals in the past by doing that.

Armed with your original posting, last week I went to a dealer at a neighboring city (they had the color I wanted) and got straight to the point. When the SM read your posting and price, and heard my question about matching the price, he called the GM, who made a skeptical comment and got busy on his computer. He showed me some numbers to prove that it was not possible, and showed me print-outs of bait & switch offers Moss Bros is known for, where they give a very low quote but then add a multi-thousand-dollar special fee. That seemed to go along with the reviewers on Yelp had to say about Moss Bros. BTW, I went to a dealer that has the highest Yelp rating among ten neighboring dealers I checked (Moss Bros has the lowest).

For now I've decided to wait for the 2021 model.

That sounds like Riverside Toyota. They told me the same thing that night when I told him I was going to buy from Moss instead of them,.
They also said they would match the deal I got from Irvine. And so did San Bernardino, once I showed them the email from AutoNation Irvine.

I assure you though, I Paid no extras.
No markup and no extra maintenance plans. I told them up front,, I just wanted this price and no extras, and if you try, I will walk from the deal.

Shawn, and I quote said "I won't try to sell you anything other than the vehicle at this price", "do we have a deal",, Yes we did.

Most of the dealers in California that I have dealt with were very happy to upsell on things like wheels, coatings, alarms, etc. I figure if they try to be sneaky and add those one, that's probably not a dealer worth wasting your time and money with. I'd personally be willing to just buy out of state and have it shipped and deal with the titling and registration.

Thanks...used your method, but only got it down to $47,452 + TTL. Not too many Gray's left from what I could find.

Fantastic!! And of course you made the deal, right?
Also,
Is that a 2017 or 18 V60 Polestar I see as your avatar?
You and I must have a lot in common.

My biggest Vice,or weakness,, is cars. Always has been, every since match-box, and Hot Wheels and slot cars..

I was in the hunt for a V60 Polestar, 2018, Except I bought an F31 330i M Sport Wagon. I couldn't quite get them to where I wanted to be for the V60 Polestar.

That was an 2018. Traded the polestar in for a T8 XC60. 404 hp due to the electric motor. The polestar had power but nothing like the feeling of the Supra since it weighed a ton (2.5 to be exact).

Yes...I took her home at that price.
