Chatter from turbo during acceleration (2021 A91)

Does anyone else get a chatter coming from the turbo side (sorta like a rattle) under throttle? This is mostly noticed when I have sound bouncing off a wall, and under acceleration in general.

My Golf rattles sometimes. Probably the wastegate.

I haven't noticed it on mine. Just got my 21' on tuesday. I'll post back if I start to experience that .

Yeah I bought mine sunday. It’s very faint, you have to listen close, it’s apparent when you drive by a car or wall

Can you mount a gopro on the hood near the turbo side and get a sound clip?

By "chatter" do you mean more like a fluttering of the turbo forcing air? My A90 does that under hard acceleration. I have an upgraded intake, but even stock it was faint. If it is relating to this, it would be completely normal on these cars. The turbo is LOUD from factory. Loud in a good way.

The turbo can be heard spooling, I think it’s the wastegate rattling. Just kinda bothers me, since those chatters never really go away, and I feel it makes the car sound like it has an issue lol

Probably just flutter. Normal. I doubt your 2021 is an A91 though lol since they were just built last week

lol I refer to the updated 2021s as A91s since they have revised engine and suspension. Not the A91 edition, my b

Yeah, and it's not a simple upgrade, they changed the dang engine code haha. I looked everywhere for an A91 edition, but every dealer kept saying they sold their only one for like a 20-30k mark up, and that I couldn't order them. Still love my car though.

I'm surprised at that. I wouldn't think they'd all be sold already.

So I found a video that closely resembles the sound at start up. Sounds like it's wastegate rattle for sure. Is this a normal thing to expect from a B58?

Ummmm, I never heard of anything like that before on mine. Hope it’s not a new recall.

But that sound does sound like when my turbo was going on my Acura RSX, shortly after, I started having blue smoke at idle and then my turbo seals went bad and I had to change out my turbo.

I am sure that’s not your issue tho.

Sounds like valve train noise to me. I had that on my STI. I went to a thicker oil and it cleared right up.
