I wonder if a low battery condition can cause this? I have experienced occasions where I get in , start the car and immediately hit the window switch and nothing happens. After two or three hits it will go down. A few weeks ago I put the car away for winter and threw her on a battery tender. I...
I've had many windshields replaced (not the Supra) and never has the insurance company asked for proof. They just ask on the phone how large it is to see if it's repairable. I usually tell them it's like 12" across. I don't want a repaired windshield because usually it's pretty pitted at this...
Nice choice. I’ve found myself eyeballing the Spyders too lately. Love the Chalk color. Don’t like the gearing still in the manual though.
post up pictures too when you Pick her up.
Made up some quick and dirty ramps/flatspot preventers. Now I can get the floor jack under the sides of the car too! Yes, I was bored.....and winter is just beginning
Went fine for me. They wanted to rotate the tires and I looked at him like . He hesitated and said” oh yeah, not on your car.“.
I waited and it took about an hour. I also didn’t wait till 10k miles. Way too long in my opinion. I brought it in at 5k. The dealer didn’t care it wasn’t at...
Stick the stock lug bolt back in the tire (not on the car , obviously) and then measure how much of the bolt protrudes past the back of the wheel. This is the length of engagement in the hub/rotor.
Haahhhaa, funny.
I followed my wife to the local garage to get her Highlander inspected. I met her there with the Supra figuring it would be the last time I could drive her before I put her away for the winter. My wife told me later that evening that the guy at the counter was asking “ who the...
Interesting , I like Chris’ reviews most of the time. He does get hung up sometimes in his vision on what a car SHOULD be. I seem to remember him disliking the GT350..... not because it was a bad car but he feels it is an American muscle car and as such it should just be a straight line brute...
I suspect it was partly both. I mean they historically didn't produce the GT350 for too many years combined with the lousy rep. (and warrantee costs) this thing incurs on them they are probably glad to get rid of it. From what I remember some racing teams stopped using the Flat plane shortly...
Nice objective comparison. Yeah, this car isn't for someone who wants anonymity. ;) 9 months later and I still get rubberneckers, thumbs ups, and "is that a Supra??!!" e\all the time. My son laughs about all the attention the car gets. Hell, even my car salesman was shocked when he took my car...
Yeah, someone brought this up (buffeting) to me once when stating why they wouldn't buy the car. :). I walked away after they said that. pretty damn silly. Oh well, their loss.
I wouldn't mind the cupholders being somewhere else and having a clean solid alcantara covered center tunnel. Someone...
Read the link in post #9 , but it should be in your tires sidewall. Agree with you that it should be there since your car is new.
One thing I don’t get is ....is the car scanning and reading this QR code when the wheel rotates....if so that could be what the percentage complete on the dash is...
So I just went out to confirm I wasn’t misremembering things. My automatic works fine so according to your dealer and toyota engineer mine isn’t working as designed.
To emphasize I confirmed : I was in automatic, select the start tire recognition button. The system then tells me to drive...
