  1. "Tires not recognized"

Are you sure they actually opened a case? I suspect they are BS'ing you. My automatic recognition works fine. I guess it's up to you how far you want to pursue this. You can : 1. go to a new dealer with the complaint and see if they can fix it 2. forget about it. You said it seemed to recognize...
  2. My Supra Story!!

Weird. My brakes are quiet as can be. The only time they make a noise is when the tires throw a pebble up and it gets jammed in the rotor. Backing up removes it . I get 25 mpg and thats a mix of driving. I think you have a heavy foot and a non broken in engine :)
  3. My Supra Story!!

Ha, great story. I can understand your feelings of exhaustion you described when the car showed up. Glad things worked out for you. Great pictures. I love San Francisco. All the architecture, great food, water, history, and sailing and I’m not a city guy. The only thing I didn’t like was the...
  4. First day and it snows!

That sucks about the snow and yes, I think 90% of us on here would have tried the same thing, jeeesh. Everyone on the internet feels the need to post up about how much smarter than you they are......
  5. "Tires not recognized"

After reading that story at the link posted it sounds like more regulations driving complexity and cost as usual. People wonder why shit is expensive.
  6. "Tires not recognized"

In the picture Tsar posted, can you see the verbiage speaking to your tires needing a QR code to be recognized? Do your tires have that QR code on the sidewall? I know they should if it's a brand new car, but still worth checking that first. Freaking overcomplicated electronics on cars these...
  7. 2021 Suspension Changes

Personally I wouldn’t tap the aluminum. the Torque aluminum can withstand is pretty minimal compared to steel and then you also have to worry about dissimilar metals being in contact with each other plus aluminum threads are not long lasting for many threading cycles. That last one proabably...
  8. 2021 Suspension Changes

Quite possible. I’m more of the opinion that they engineered it in from the beginning but decided to leave it out so they can roll out “updates” as the model years go on and the Marketing department has stuff to crow about. Much easier to bake these things in from the beginning than add new...
  9. Twisted Tuning A90 Supra Development

In the words of Jackie Gleason: "oopphhhh!". That fella running in front of your car is not too bright. Could've been run over if you decided to let off the brake.
  10. Supra vs C8 Corvette

A dumpster fire is a great description of many of the folks over there. Man, my neighbor warned me about Corvette guys and said it was one of the reasons he dumped his. He couldn't stand the people at the meets. After checking out the forums , I can see he wasn't lying. That being said , I'll...
  11. Salvage & Wrecked Supra Registry

You want to put a BMW drivetrain in a Toyota, pffftttt..........oh yeah, nevermind.
  12. Is 50F too cold for the Michelin summer tire?

Meh, I bought last March 2 and was driving that week in upper 30 degree weather, dry roads. Totally fine. I would not drive probably lower than 35 . My plan is to put her away as soon as it hits mid 30’s regularly till spring. I’ll drive my Jeep till then. The plan is to get snows though for...
  13. Shipping your supra from an out of state dealer

Yeah, if you're getting a good deal and the dealership is giving you good vibes I'd do it. Lot's of guys on the GT350 forums I follow were doing this due to all the ADM BS going on. That being said the only complication I can think of is you getting it registered and the hoops you may have to...
  14. Auto High beams

i didn't see any threads on this but thought I'd throw this out there. I hadn't tried this function for the longest time since it works so poorly on my wife's Highlander. After reading the post on here about the speed limit warning and how it works with the cruise control, I thought I'd give it...
  15. New (and old) SupraMKV members say hello!

Yeah, the cars are rare here too. I imagine there's even fewer imported into the UK. I finally saw (actually heard) one in my area. I can hear the guy going up and down an adjoining residential street. Kinda annoying actually as he's jumping on and off the gas to get the crackles and fart...
  16. New (and old) SupraMKV members say hello!

    Welcome to the club.
  17. New (and old) SupraMKV members say hello!

Ah yes. We get plenty of roads in bad condition as well. One of the best roads in my are (3 hours away) is the Kangamugus Highway in NH. Surprisingly it's in good condition as well considering it's in the mountains.
  18. New (and old) SupraMKV members say hello!

Welcome guys. Tell me, what are the roads like there? Do you have many decent driving roads? I see a lot of National parks in that area.
  19. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

I would suspect it will be 5-10k cheaper than a Q60 red sport. Nissan wouldn’t want to undercut that car even though they target a different demographic. That would put it around $45-53k.
  20. Annoying Front Glass Fog

Just another data point: mine does this too. Seems to help with the recirc. Button off, which is fine by me. I’d rather breathe fresh air unless I’m trying to get max. Ac or following a diesel truck.
