  1. New (and old) SupraMKV members say hello!

Good luck on your decision. So many good cars to choose from these days. Good deals to be had fir sure on 20 models. I used the 21 news with my dealer to drive my deal. His jaw dropped I swear when I told him I knew the 21 coming was a higher hp car and these 20’s are going to be really hard to...
  2. New (and old) SupraMKV members say hello!

Ugh, that sucks. My salesman said the exact same thing. Which was great because I forgot to tell them to not install the bracket. When he said I shouldn’t install it, it reminded me and I confirmed with him to not put it on. Great salesman, and when I picked it up there was the bracket, in the...
  3. Owner Review: Supra vs. my exes (911, Cayman, M2, Type R)

 Ha, I know that move too. Yeah, take about making one look old and handicapped.
  4. Owner Review: Supra vs. my exes (911, Cayman, M2, Type R)

 Ha, yup. I’ve got my move to get in and out down pat now though. Duck chin way down getting in and put left hand on door sill to take weight and swivel around left hand while putting weight on my left foot to get out. This move is hard though if I can’t get the door way open.
  5. Auto HVAC

ah, no shit. That is too stupid. Thanks. I’ll give it a try.
  6. Auto HVAC

Ok, so I’ve searched the forum and also read thru the manual. Someone clarify for me how to get the fan speed to be controlled by the Auto climate temp. Function. If I set the Auto to be on my fan speed does not go up or down at all automatically. I will crank down the temp as low as it will go...
  7. Owner Review: Supra vs. my exes (911, Cayman, M2, Type R)

I drove the M2 and had the same observations about the trans. Great when you’re banging geArs but other than that the zf8 is better all around. DCT is clunky around town and was super aggravating. Knew I’d wind up driving it in manual mode all the time. Also, the steering wheel in the M2 I’d...
  8. Key is not detected

Ah technology. Some days I just love the simplicity of my Jeep. Stab the key in the cylinder and go. No lane keeping, bsm, or proximity stuff.
  9. Steering Intervention Issue

Yeah, I've had my vibration disappear to almost nothing as well even though it's set to strong. Doesn't bother me enough to reset though. All this driving assistance complexity I could do without.........except for the cruise control radar. That is great and works well.
  10. Steering Intervention Issue

Yup, I’ve had this. Steering intervention off and it would still activate sometimes. Very rarely though. I toggled it on and then off and it is ok now. It seemed to present itself as an issue only after I setup my wife’s profile in the settings. I think it’s a bug in the software. Damn cars are...
  11. Changing Tires Made Easy for $20 Wheel Hanger Alignment Tool

Hmm, interesting. I've had many brands of cars and this is the first that has wheel bolts. You say Saab had them too , huh. I wonder how many others out there use them........
  12. Changing Tires Made Easy for $20 Wheel Hanger Alignment Tool

I'm not disputing that this tool is recommended. My comment was in context of BMW "fixing" the wheel studs "issue" by changing the studs to bolts. Typical over thought German engineering. Trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist and in the process makes a simple task like changing a tire...
  13. Question, if I have a set of winter wheels for my BMW M2 will they fit the Supra?

Can't answer this one but I'm wondering what info you may have come across. I'm starting to hunt for a Winter tire setup now instead of waiting the last minute, ha.
  14. 0 percent financing now available on MY20 supra .

Yeah , I figured as much. You’ve been around here long enough to know that. I know what you mean too by wanting to be wow’d by the test drive. Luckily for me that was exactly how I felt so it made it an easy decision. You, however have a very high bar coming from the P car world.
  15. Flat tire contingency plan?

You should ask your salesman where it is. Maybe he’ll throw it in for nothing. I asked my salesman to get the tote bag for the trunk for me. He threw it in for nothing.... plug for the tote bag. The compartment size is a perfect fit for two 1 gallon containers of milk. It’s also rigid enough...
  16. 0 percent financing now available on MY20 supra .

you do realize that two of those complaints are easily fixed, right? The wind deflectors and flashing out the piped in engine noise to improve the Radio. The radio actually sounds pretty decent once you do this. The visibility stuff however is something you need to figure out if it’s something...
  17. Did anyone cross-shop the Supra against BMWs?

Exactly on the transmission. It's always where it needs to be. I swear it's telepathic.....in fact I don't even bother with the paddle shifters it's that good.
  18. Did anyone cross-shop the Supra against BMWs?

Drove the M2C, bough the Supra. I didn't like the steering feedback and the DCT. While great when you're banging gears, it was clunky and slow to shift in normal everyday driving. I knew I'd wind up driving it with the paddles all the time. Not a big deal but I preferred the trans. in the...
  19. Salvage & Wrecked Supra Registry

Well I don't think we need to worry about this VIN being fixed up and back on the road.
  20. Anybody getting challenged more on the road?

I get mostly people wanting to compliment the car or ask questions. Although I did get a Ram 1500 on the freeway yesterday rev at me and try to get me to race. <rolls eyes>
