As someone with the kenji catless downpipe, I think just getting a generic 4"-5" catless downpipe and having your tuner shadow code the CEL would be a better and cheaper option. I'm planning on getting rid of mine soon because it's currently bottlenecking my pure900 since it's 3.5". Been using...
It wasn’t today, but this week, car came back from shop after some installs and tune. Pure900, do88 manifold, 1050 injectors, BMR catch can, BMS intake, motiv reflex+, flex tune. My shop/tuner took these photos
This is now happening to me after having Motiv Reflex+ installed. My shop had to remove the wiper blades to gain access to the valve cover for PCV Block Off Pin install.
Now I'm having battery drainage issue because the passenger windshield wiper keeps twitching every few seconds. Car doesn't...
A one week review after installing this.
I replaced my FTP charge pipe for this BMS BOV one. I received the newer model, which is in a matte black vs the older model being in gloss black. I originally wanted the newer matte black model since there were revisions to the gloss black ones you'll...
I think without ethanol it might be a reach to hit those numbers…? Someone can correct me, but I’ve seen similar setups and most 93 tunes are near the 550hp range. It’s tough to hit 600hp on just pump gas even if you have a bigger turbo or a top mount.
Same boat as you, I also pre-ordered the Pure900. I went with the do88 because it looks cleaner and has the function where your engine cover can fit over it. I have a vented hood so I was worried about water potentially damaging the port injection and motiv reflex wires. Since the Pure900 is a...
Thanks for the reply, I totally forgot to update that comment after doing a bit more research and contacting multiple shops which essentially answered most of the questions I asked.
I still ended up pre-ordering the New Pure900 2-port (RIP ship date is 3/27/2026). Every tuner and shop highly...
I have went back and reread this guide numerous of times throughout the years, so thank you for creating this. I am now approaching completely unknown territories when it comes to my build now that I want to push more power by doing my first turbo upgrade.
The 2-port Pure900 finally releases in...
I had the same problem with my hood, but if you take a dremel tool to those square cutouts and slowly sand them down to make slightly thinner lip, they'll click into place. Not all hood molds come out the same, so If the lip is too thick then the wiper fluid system won't be able to fully catch...
I was told by SpeedIndustry that the T51R mod wasn't possible on the 2 port Pure800.
"The T51R mod cannot be done to a Pure turbo, because of how much machining they do to the compressor housing. There isn't enough material. "
The Pure900 offers the T51R because it is it's own turbo. While the...
I was ticked over the same thing over Xmas sale, decided to order them anyways the other day. EVS fenders are already $825 + $50-90 shipping.
Then you have to get them painted if you choose too for probably ~$200-300 (only assuming, since it cost me $300 to paint match my seibon Mk4 style...
If you're still not satisfied with how loud it is then by all means be that guy. Most people would just think that's too loud, hopefully your other mods compensate for how loud it is or else you're just turning your car into a loud shit box
You're most likely soft locked because dealership will update the ECU due to recalls so that they're not selling you a car with an active recall open. All you have to do is dme bench unlock the ecu to have tuning access.
ECU dates post mid 2020+ will need to have their ECU unlocked by having it...
You don't need a tune to install any car part. Plenty of people are not tuned because of their ECU but have full bolt on. If you did more research before pulling the trigger then you could have bought the Armytrix or Kenji downpipe for a catless option that won't throw CEL.
Since you have a...
