I agree its a cop out to delete posts. Thats why i suggested keeping the thread alive and making a sticky out of the first one. Maybe make this thread an appendix to the main thread or something. Theres good info scattered about but lots of goofy shit and bias/opinions thrown in too. Not saying...
Just a thought, not directed at anyone, maybe clean up the thread a bit. Or, a lot, delete every post except the very first one. Sticky that thread. Make a copy of this one if people want to continue debating.
I didn't realize what a mess it was, I'm just as guilty as anyone else. It seems the...
Gopro Hero 13 black, clamp mount and skeleton protection case, and another mount for windshield. I retired my old gorpo hero 3 (yes it still worked fine) and am really impressed with the tech in the new camera.
I don't condone reckless driving on the street, my definition of "beating on the car" may be different than yours.
My point was that so far I don't have a compelling reason to swap out the oil for something else.
Everyone that really wants to know how the oil is working for their use case...
I didn't see it posted in this thread but thought this was a good read lots of info summaized in one place, I believe this is from a credible source:

Also see bimmerworlds oil recommendations attached.
So the takeaway is if you frequently...
Some of u guys have really quick cars. Dont see too much info on a completely stock car. Here's one. Good conditions.
Completely stock engine/trans/clutch 6MT. 91 octane fuel. 295/35/19 ECS02 rear tire. Full weight, 165 lb driver, 2/3 tank fuel.
Only got one pass. Wasn't sure how to run it...
Couple discolored/hot spots on PP & FW? Hard to tell if there is any damage to the disc itself. Hopefully new setup has enough clamp up to put up with the forthcoming abuse.
Closing the loop on this, the shop was more than happy to fix the issue at no cost to me. First trip in they found the issue: damage to a piece of wiring. They didn't have replacement part on hand, so they repaired the wiring and code vanished.
Put some miles on car, did an autocross event, I...
Beautiful car I really dig the CU Later Grey. I recommend deleting the CDV, I had mine done after putting 5,000 miles on the Supra and don't know why I waited so long. Running out 1-2 and 2-3 quickly and fast downshifts feels much more natural IMO.
I haven't introduced myself but I've had my...
I recall someone else on FB having this issue. I have never experienced it, my favorite shift is from 3rd to 2nd so I make it a point to bang those off as often as I can... No problem so far.
Motiv has a twin disc website says capacity is 800-1000 lb*ft and @kern147 is running the BMW OEM "550i" clutch in a different platform than the supra IIRC and I thought he's making 600+ lb*ft torque IIRC.

Seems like a...
Xclutch has single disk options on their website! Spec sheet for organic single disk (see below) says torque capacity of 690 presumably in Newton*meters... This is a little over the 500 lb*ft I saw mentioned earlier...
EDIT: someone got email confirming torque is engine torque in lb*ft NOT N*m...
"Problem" with any car that has a manual transmission is that it takes deliberate effort and concentration to drive well. This is exactly why I love manual cars.
However, for the average "enthusiast driver", Its slower compared to the auto on the street. Young folks these days already have...
