But ... the JB4 also has many channel inputs from not only TMAP but also MAP and ODB2 feeds inc revs/gear/temps/trims/timing etc ... JB4 will be a more "educated" map than purely adding boost.
JB4 Map 1 is very close to JB+ (max setting) see dyno below
But IMHO , as i have used both , the JB4 is "smoother" and has a host of other functions.
BUT If you are gonna use car bone stock and want something that takes seconds to fit and remove then a JB+ is a better option.
The grease goes hard so stopping the plastic thrust bush moving freely to take up any slak so causing the clunking. ... small adjustments in the screw cap will move the bush so helping identifying the issue .. THEN you can remove the cap and spring and bush regrease and reinstall carefully...
This is a Strange one !
I have had an occasional double beep on the car while driving ( without me pressing the horn ) its happened 3 or 4 times , tends to be at low speeds. It does not appear with any other anti collision aid warnings.
I have checked my horn and connections and its fine...
i recently took my bumper off the replace the horn and took the opportunity to clean the radiators , i removed the radiator covers to the two outer small radiators even thought the middle part was clear the outer was clogged with grass/feathers/stones and mud.
Toyota WONT service the rack ... just replace it ..but thats not and easy job and they will probably cause more issues ... if you try to adjust it yourself be very aware a very small amount is required.
Well i have not had the Clunking for over a year now ... as i said in my thread .. the clunking is more noticeable over uneven ground ... my thrust bush was completely stuck in old hard grease once lubed was fine.
35k miles ... mine are split in several places ...
I had the same issue on my BMW i8 and they replaced them as a good will gesture.
Its a lot of work for dust boots.... i will leave mine .. may even remove all trace when they get as bad as yours.
hey ... it may not make them "functional" but they do look much better "unblanked" ... especially the front fender (uk-bumper) and hood (uk-bonnet) ones.
i also believe there is no belt from the EPS motor to the rack ... i think its a worm gear but im not 100% ... either way its not a replaceable part ... and knowing Toyota and the work i have done with the Trust bush issue on these racks they replace them in their entirety rather than fix...
