Depending on your power goals just a clutch upgrade from what I've seen. Stock clutch has a hard time with just the OEM turbo maxed out. Unfortunately not many MT's pushing a ton of power so can't really say how the rest of the trans will hold up. Clutch Masters has options for upwards of...
That's good to know. My plan is to get these between the first or second week of May and wanted to make sure that the orders would still be open. Hopefully I can snag a set before the second batch runs out.
@stormgreysupra I was wondering if you have a date for when preorders will be closed? I recently picked up a GRC and wanted to get some PPF done before I add this kit to the credit card.
You will need a clutch upgrade too.
I'd consider the Remnant Omega 65 in case you haven't looked into it yet. Great bang for the buck. The only downside is that the intake pieces you have would get replaced by the turbo kit so you'd have to sell those.
Since you are outside of the USA...
I think that I've seen 8k RPM as well for the limit that folks are willing to push it. With this engine not having a square bore to stroke ratio I don't think that it's ideal to even go past 7.5k RPM unless you are putting in forged components and can do some balancing to make sure it's safe...
These are just what I was looking for. This is how Toyota should have released the car instead of leaving all the gaps. I can just wrap them in carbon PPF later if I ever feel the need to change the looks a bit.
Had the chance to take a nice pic during the eclipse despite it being so cloudy. The motorsports gold really likes to pop.
SM-10RS 18x11+40
ECF 295/30/18 (sadly no 295/35 available)
HKS springs close to stock ride height
Were the TPMS and valves properly installed? May seem like something trivial but if they get overtightened the seals can sometimes get pinched or torn causing a leak.
That's good to hear. I thought they were blowing smoke with the ETA since I hadn't seen any more updates in here.
Looks like we're getting pads from the same lot.
For those still looking at getting the PMU Clubracer pads I placed my order on 03/20 and was told they should ship late April to early May. Not sure if anyone who ordered late last year has been given an update but hopefully they start shipping soon. Maybe I'll get mine in 2 weeks.
That Mojave looks pretty darn close to the Hazelnut interior of the A91-MTs. Makes me wanna redo my seats just to get rid of the crappy OEM leather.
Do you know if they have any Alcantara or similar in this color? I've been meaning to get a custom shift boot.
For those still looking to get a 4" DP I'd suggest contacting ETS for a catless option. I'm pretty sure they would still make one for you but they are probably avoiding all the legal implication of having it as an option in the website. I picked up the ETS 4" catted one cuz I'm not tuning yet...
understandable. All of the titanium options I've seen are just too pricey for just being a light weight option without any flow benefits. A lot of aftermarket DP call out their size using the biggest pipe they use for marketing but they all have to reduce to 3.15" if they want to be compatible...
Outlet size of the OEM DP should be 3.15", not sure if that's the ID or OD tho. Plenty of aftermarket options and several threads in here mention it in case you want to confirm. I'd suggest not even worrying about modifying the OEM catback and just do everything after the DP. I'm gonna be going...
No dashcam but I did install my Uniden R7 as tucked away as I could. I made my own mirror tap from a phone cable that was getting thrown away at work. Added extra connectors in case I ever get around to mounting a remote Mute button and LED like the hardware that Uniden sells. I replaced the two...
I'm running the Continentals Extremecontact Force. Great grip and lifespan being more endurance oriented but they do need to be warmed up a bit to really get all the grip out of them. I have run the Sports on my previous car and loved them. Definitely a great option if you plan on driving on the...
They all look the same if you stick to blanks ? . DBA is probably a good option if you want slotted rotors for a good variety of vehicles front and rear.
I'd say you are either very lucky or not rowing through gears fast enough. It has happened to me a few times but only when trying to shift quickly like launching from a standstill or slow rolling start. No issues during casual driving thankfully.
Huge thanks on the detailed video. I like the option of adjusting the height. I would likely run the lowest setting just to give me the shortest throw. Now I just gotta order one so I can install it when I do the exhaust.
