Actually i'm willing to bet that manufactures have the ability to unlock ECU's. Part of be believes the whole new ECU that comes locked, is a push by the car manufactures to essentially push their own tuning services. Now i've only really seen this with German cars (Audi also has locked ECU's)...
Just got back from the Autocross day. i'm sure you saw us/me zooming around out there if you bothered to look in during your breaks. SUUUPER fun with the Supra. Honestly the car feels like a more power but heavier S2k. The super short wheelbase our cars have, make it really easy to toss...
This is the only logical explanation that i've heard. I remember reading somewhere that some A91's outside of the US do get the HUD, and so this could have been part of that batch but then used for the press release.
Either way just having that HUD will actually help that car maintain slightly...
So we can put that theory to rest. I went out to my car this morning. Opened the door, and turned the car on without closing it. Revved just fine no issues.
I'm still convinced that for those who are actually having this issue, that its a sensor issue and theres a communication error going...
i forgot to check yesterday. I'll try and remember today. but its so interesting i've never had a car with this kind of safety feature before and it definetly seems like it can cause issues and confusion.
Traction is so much bigger in catching up to people than it seems. I'd be curious on how you would fair if you didnt have traction issues. Stickier and wider tires would def help there.
All in all though the RS7 will still pull away due to higher HP, but the Supra really shouldnt have a hard...
Hold on you might be on to something. The first time this has ever happened to me, the door was open cuz i was going to rev it for a video. I will admit, the next few times it happened, all doors were closed, however i wonder if the so called safety mode lingers for a bit. My car no longer...
Honestly i would love if they released a green one. They might in the future and i'll hate that, and will figure out if trading my A91 will be worth it. But green is my absolute favorite color.
Actually i'm pretty sure those measurements are how much lower you can go. 15mm is roughly 1/2 an inch, and 35mm is about an inch and a half give or take. In general any coilover that you get is going to get you a lower stance, it just depends on how low you want to go. Some will get you...
I'm running 275/35/19 on fronts with no rubbing at all. Rears are 295/35/19 but i honestly feel like i should have just went 305, theres still plenty of room.
I'll let you know how they feel out on the track. I'll be going to autocross in Sonoma next weekend so i'll report back on hard turns...
Has anyone checked out Carbonful on IG/Facebook? They make a steering wheel for a lot of different cars, and their prices are pretty good. I was quoted 700$ for a custom steering wheel for my S2000. I just havnt made the jump yet since i'm trying to get a roll bar installed first.
Not a comparison but Papadakis Racing did a tear down of the B58 in the Supra and did talk about a few things that allow it to be a good 2Jz successor. not sure if this is quite what you are looking for but the video is super interesting reggardless.
Ok so i figured i'd do a build thread as i do want to document this somehow and i figured why not get some advice along the way. i do also document this on my youtube channel and IG so if you'd prefer to follow me on there thats totally cool too.

To be fair, the M2 CS is a fantastic car. However i find it to be so incredibly overpriced for what it offers. The M2 Competition should have gotten the active suspension imo.
Personally i hate BMW manual transmissions. I had the M2 Competition with 6MT before i traded it for the Supra, and...
