Makes me think of the annoying oversight that makes the seatbelt rattle between door and seat. Maybe that could be it here?
Simply rotating it sideways fixes the noise.
I am unsure of which rattle you are speaking. Is it the occasional tick heard between 0-3seconds in the video? Or is it the one heard around the 5second mark?
Also have you tried repeating the same conditions and pushing out, in, up or down on the climate control panel, radio controls or...
Have a look at my write-up. Might be the same you're experiencing: https://www.supramkv.com/threads/stop-the-creak-or-rattle-coming-from-near-the-infotainment-screen-or-center-speakers.19463/#post-317353

I daily drive, casually, 95% of the time with the odd quick pull from stoplights.
Now switched to Continental Sportcontact 7 (only rear). Amazing tyres.
I can make you cry in 2.59
My European bank negotiated 0.89 with me (around the same time in 2021).
But then again. I got torn open a new one by taxes. ? So apples/oranges.
Nope. Still have to find the time to disassemble and look for a fix. Maybe this weekend.
A possible fix that crossed my mind, is some kind of velvet tape/foam underneath the screen on the dashboard. Because it seems that when I push up the screen a little bit (by thumb), the creaking/rattle stops.
No expert but I imagine your current situation will have no impact on the working of the airbag itself. The spring is not sitting in front of the airbag itself. As far as I know an airbag breaks open the steering wheel material in front of it before reaching the body it needs to protect.
My factory alignment wasn't that good. After a warranty replacement of my car steerhouse and free alignment, I shared my recalibrated OEM alignment specs with our local Supra group.
They recommended changing them to the Z4 19inch low suspension settings (note I have 19inch wheels) as that drove...
Today I fixed an annoying creaking and rattling sound coming from near my infotainment screen.
This guide on how to fix the annoying sound can be, diagnosed as caused by 2 parts: The infotainment screen and the metal parts used in the plastic speaker grill.
If you wish to verify if at least...

While it used to happen after every few hundred of miles driven, it seems to be happening again.
However, it happens far far less often. Maybe once every 1000+ miles. More of a once in a blue moon type scenario. So if you have the same issue, the update, maybe installing an even newer one, could...
