About 1500km in now, still not reproduced. Someone else with a stock vehicle, that is willing to have it updated, should try it out and report back. More voices = verification of the fix.

Bought my M sport style mirror caps from aliexpress. Super cheap and fitment is perfect. They do fix the wind buffeting issue. Atleast the ones with sharp points. Can't tell if the more blunt point fixes it too.

No it is metallic. Luckily imho, once had to repaint my GT86 with pearlescent white color, was a nightmare to get correctly matched with other body parts. So I am glad I don't have to worry about that with this color ?

The update can be quite a procedure. My Toyota mechanic took quite a few hours to comfortably and safely update the ecu. So I think you have to book a separate appointment.

I suspect it has been fixed now. Only had about 800km road use since the update flash but never had it since. I secretly hope by saying this I jinx the universe into making it happen again so I can be certain it wasn't fixed.
