That's good news!
If it is also fixed >55mph, can you provide a clear image of the mirrors or side profile of the car so we can maybe figure out if it is different from the other cars?
I see a resemblance from the back and side profile but not from the front (bumper). Especially the size of the front bumper compared to the front axle.
Maybe try contacting the guys at Bimmercode, they might help you out with an update.
Did you by any chance take a picture of the back of the head unit? This might come in handy for some of us later :) (Edit out serial numbers if you feel uneasy about posting it publicly)
I'm not sure but most likely not. While ECU's in modern vehicles are separate units, I highly suspect they are dependent on each other when coding (atleast through Bimmercode).
Cool to hear someone went the same route I took :)
Thanks for providing a link to the firmware!
Touch capability on these devices seem to be a no-go for all. Even the expensive Bimmertech one doesn't have it (afaik).
Enjoy the head unit! It took me quite a bit to install it correctly. Almost...
I remember this being permanently providing power. So always sucking power even when the vehicle is turned off. So you need to hardwire it to a power source that provides a few more minutes of energy before the car is turned off.
See my thread or others theirs about dashcams for more info...
When connected via Android Auto it shows the brand is LuChi, but rebranded by a local seller.
Price was 400 euro (465usd).
If you look on AliExpress the same MMi's can be bought for as low as 260 euro
Should've went that route ?
Basically I paid 140 euro for rebranding and better...
After installing a different branded (and way cheaper) android auto MMi, I also coded in the AUX.
It works perfectly. Thank you for writing this down @Branflakes123 !
The manual states removing the rear bumper assembly. Not sure if that is necessary though. Maybe a quick reheat of the area and twisting the camera from the outside might work as well. Watch out not to ruin your paint though (if careless) ;P
Looking at my own rear bumper, there seems to be a...
This, from the workshop manual, looks like it is glued in place with adhesive strips. Hence the recommendation for a heat source to remove the camera bracket.
If it is indeed glued in place, it could be that it has been installed a tad bit rotated if the cutout allows for margin of error...
Any more news?
I also have the same hiss from the speakers on my Jarama. Even when the speakers are fully muted. Not yet sure if I want to take much effort to resolve it as I feel I can live with it. But then again it shouldn't happen ?
Thanks for letting us know! I think the VIN in our case is sequential as the vehicle was produced for the European market only, whereas I believe the LE's were produced for the whole world(?).
Since Toyota didn't specify which number your Jarama Racetrack edition is (?/90), I would like to invite all owners to figure out our numbers in sequence, together.
There is a fair chance this list will be incomplete or we will not be able to reach out to all owners (language barrier), but it...
Anything of that size. Will try to have a look at those threads, search function (at first) didn't come up with anything :p
B54: Asks simple, honest question with also the intention to maybe help others by sharing tips.
SupraYYJ: Stop placing any stuff in the footwell!!1 First car?!
A simple...
The Supra seats are amazing to have stuff fly underneath it during acceleration/cornering.
Do any of you have any tips or products that avoid this from happening?
I use the stock floor mats and don't feel like changing them, yet.
Thanks all for the (insightful) responses, but I see mostly stuff about engines with tune and/or stock engines with limiter enabled.
Has no one disabled the limiter and did a max speed run on a fully stock engine? ?
I do understand it is hard to do safely and legally, but I was hoping some...
