I have MSS, and can only compare them to stock. They are definitely stiffer than stock, but in normal mode it’s not as noticeable. And on rough roads, normal is still very comfortable to me.

How hard would it be to reverse engineer and have a stateside vendor offer it all?

Had a shop do mine, was told you have to take off the exhaust to install. So I had the shifter install done with exhaust, and was charged an additional hour.

How do the Yokohama AD09 compare to these? Are they better than A052 in the rain?

For me the most helpful Bimmer Code adjustments were keeping the dash brighter, and in reverse the passenger mirror not tilting so low. IIRC, people who changed the rear strut bar to a thinner one like HKS, were able to move the seat further a couple more inches.

If you want cooler temps would get the box. There are intakes that have box and increase intake noises like MST/MAD/Kyostar or Armaspeed. Aftermarket turbo heatshield would be helpful as well.
