Thanks Mr. Phil for the suggestions. Car is in storage now a short ride from my house, but I’ll take it out again later this week to do a pre-winter detail and fill up with fuel and stabil, so will be checking then.
I agree that the randomness of the length & timing of the sound could be some...
TBH I was just adding to the fire lol. Truth be told, I thought of this video you linked while reading this thread, and wondered what the big issue is. I’m hearing the 90 degree turn into the flange seems to get the most hate. But to your point it seems the general distance the exhaust has to...
I mean it’s prolly better than having the turbo mounted just before the exhaust tip 🤷
Nice happy medium 0.o
Those 370z guys are gonna be drooling lol.
lol it’s giving me the same vibes as that but it’s def the car haha
sounds better than this post about the same question, but assuming same thing

First time ever hearing this. Drove for 30 miles, parked in garage, turned off car, popped hood to connect battery tender. Started hearing this weird whistle / screech sound every so often. First it seemed to coincide with when I stepped in front of the proximity sensors but then it was just...
Good idea to try installing the intake without the metal piece, though for the code I would still send a log to Razorlab, if he’s willing to look at it, has far more experience.
That is what I did, even though it felt wrong lol. Now it connects perfectly and the crank case breather connection has enough slack to actually connect. I still feel like something is wrong but it’s been fine.
Anyway, it still likely doesn’t explain your code
Like others have said I think you are chasing 2 different issues, but that said take a peak at this thread, it seems MST started shipping this metal turbo inlet connector even though their overall design and big silicone piece is really designed to connect directly to the turbo...
Would this require disabling / removing anything on a manual car? It has driver assist package but manuals don’t have the adaptive cruise control. Just not sure if it would impact collision warning or lane keep assist.
interested if all of my other functionality remains
IMO that should have nothing to do with the intake. Agree that breather looks like it could be pushed in a little better, that thing is a bish to get fitted properly. But as it is I doubt it’s leaking, that’s not pressurized.
Guessing your ECU finally got tired of the catless smell, though I...
thanks for the extra pics. Agree with your reasoning on keeping the braces.
that downpipe support bracket seems like it’s in a weird spot, but I haven’t really looked at mine closely as it’s still stock DP. I assumed that bracket is supposed to bolt up to the factory location. Most full frame...
Thanks for finding that, dunno why I couldn’t see it on their site unless maybe it just got posted.
The mani looks great, seems pretty compact as well. Curious if the sound, I’m a nerd but the turbo manifold design seems to have such an impact on the exhaust sound, really want to experience this...
There also seems to be a Black Market Race tubular (looks like parts of it are cast but according to them have done lots of flow testing etc) manifold, dual external WG kit that will be announced tomorrow according to the IG post
Black Market Race / JNS Fabrication: $7500?????
Releasing soon...
thanks brother will add.
Also wanted to echo some of the recent discussion as far as water cooled CHRA, IMO this should always be used on a street car. It’s a little bit of extra complexity but I guess the larger turbos don’t need it as much as in theory they don’t get as hot. Not an expert on...
CES has a bottom mount kit in development. I believe it’s external WG also.
I’ll update the original post this week
also this was shared before:

Thanks for sharing your experience here, very much appreciated.
I spoke to you on instagram a while back about your experience with this kit because it’s still near the top of my list when I do go big turbo in the next 1-2 years. I wish I was closer to you I’d love to come see in person, if I’m...
