That's awesome, your car looks great!
Slightly related note. The music video for "No Man" by Juicy J & Xavier Wulf has like 4 or 5 Supras in it. Xavier is a big tuner/BMW guy and he often raps about "car guy stuff" and sometimes does meets before his shows.
Just so you're aware the AA downpipe tapers down to the OEM 3.15 inches where it meets the exhaust, so the bottleneck at that spot will still be there.
I'm not Armaspeed but the answer is pretty cut and dry overall. If you lost power on a back to back dyno run after installing an intake:
1. The new intake doesn't have as much airflow as the previous one
2.The new intake doesn't keep the air as cool as the previous one
So the Armaspeed intake...
You HAVE to send the DME to Femto with a Supra 2021 and newer. They are the ONLY people who can partially unlock the DME and make it possible to flash a tune on the car (MHD or Bm3).
The ONLY Supras that can bench unlock stateside are 2020's, OR Supras who cloned their DME from their car onto...
@Jmanlevan you definitely can still do Femto with a manual. Just only MHD or Bm3. Femto is the only way currently to partially unlock the ECU for that.
The only thing you can't do with a manual is ECUTEK because the manuals have a different DME that hasn't been fully cracked
Sorry if I was...
ECUTEK requires a fully unlocked ECU. Which means having to find a donor ECU and send it to Finland on pretty much any Supra 2021 and newer. The 2020's could just be bench unlocked and ECUTEK tuned by your favorite shop.
Bm3 & MHD use partial unlock, which doesn't require a donor ECU. It's also...
Stock other than an Eventuri intake. I ran a 13.3 @ 111 mph. Worth noting that it was only around 45-50° F the whole day. Track was cold and everyone was having trouble keeping traction. I think I would be able to get into 12's with more practice on launching (had some wheelspin through...
Got absolutely humbled yesterday as it was my first time out at the dragstrip with my MT. I bet both of my friends I went with that the overall loser would buy the others a case of beer each as I was so confident that I'd at least run faster than my buddy's 2015 Mustang GT. Ran three times...
I'm actually pretty okay with this not having more power (ie: S58) and missing the wildly different set of changes that people were initially expecting.
As the threads about tracking have shown, with just brakes, slight suspension tweaks, and tires, the Supra obliterates tons of other cars on...
I fought with the silicon tube on the eventuri for a while too, pain in the ass. But I got it tight on there and it's never moved. They made a later version with the stock inlet connector piece and I think if you reach out to them you can buy it separately
My recommendation would be to go to an audio shop that has done a GR Supra before and have them figure out what you want and how they're going to do it. There's no sense in strangers discussing "I prefer JL Audio dual 15 inch subwoofers, all Skar audio is shit" when everyone has different goals...
When I was looking for my current new car my first choice was an ultra clean C6 Z06, then I decided that I needed a modern interior and infotainment, and C7 Grand Sports (with a manual) were never around during COVID for a reasonable price.
At that point I had looked around long enough that...
