Coming in to report. Deleted my CDV last week, then went to a track weekend.
It is better, at first I wasn't convinced because I never really minded the CDV, but it definitely makes the shifting experience more "normal"
I also now have a front end clunk after going off track this weekend.
The spinning bearing at the top of the spring has some sort of resistance/friction happening, so when I turn the wheel it will start to add rotational force to the spring and then after a little more turning the wheel, the...
Pretty much every Gesi catted pipe is going to be between $1200-1400. If it's catted and less than that it's probably only a 200 cell and will still throw a CEL
In terms of hp gains, I did find this video on the Eventuri where these guys did a couple back to back dynos on an otherwise stock Supra and got gains. Whether or not that's worth the hefty price though is up to you.
It definitely rev matches on upshifts with gear shift assistant on, what I've found though is that you have to slow down your shifting for it to even come into play because the revs don't fall fast enough with how I normally drive.
Try upshifting from 2nd at like 3500 rpms. Keep the clutch in...
Welcome! I daily my '23 manual (until winter at least), and take it to the track about 5 times a year. And I have a pretty reasonable build planned that you're free to steal from if you want.
Get an intake & exhaust for better noises & more fun, they won't really give you any power though...
I mean no ones stopping you from drilling holes in all the fake vents if you want.
I'm not sure about stronger though. The material of the stock fake vents that came off my car feel like a really cheap plastic. They were super easy to bend and deform (I actually broke the top off one while...
It is not. I would wager the AWE Track edition, RKTitanium track dual exit, and the boostlogic are the loudest dual exhausts as they're basically straight pipes from the cat-back. The tomei still has mufflers.
My fastest was a 144:9 during my last session of the weekend.
I'm running Falken RT660's and Verus camber plates. I noticed that sport traction was really starting to bottleneck my times so I turned it off completely for the last session and went from 1:47s down to consistent 1:45's, seemed...
All catless downpipes are just that at the end of the day. Steel pipes. Get the one that's the cheapest from a reputable shop, otherwise they're pretty much all the same
So there are downpipes of many shapes and sizes for this car, but 90% of them all reduce to the OEM 3.15" diameter where the downpipe meets the exhaust. So most of the "different sized" downpipes will be 3.5" or 4.5", hell even MST's downpipe is 6" diameter in the middle section, but it...
I'm surprised no one else does this, but what I do is use a Bluetooth OBD2 dongle and the torque pro app on my Android phone, then use Screen mirroring to have all of my gauges and a shift light on my infotainment screen. It's very customizable and works pretty well for me. Takes about 15...
Nothing against OP here, the pictures look great and I'm glad to hear you like the intake. But has anyone noticed that there's like a ton of threads just saying that the Armaspeed intake is good? Is armaspeed giving y'all an extended warranty or something?
No personal experience with their stuff yet, but one of Adro's lead designers previously worked for the Williams F1 team as an aerodynamicist, so I would say they definitely at least are making pieces that have some functionality, otherwise there wouldn't be a need to hire him.
So, if you want to cheat... When iMT is enabled, the car will also rev match upshifts. If you put it into the next gear and just wait an extra half second or so as the rpms are falling, it will hold the revs at the correct spot for the next gear. So, if you let the clutch out there and then roll...
