The 1-2 shift jerkiness and rev hang is due to the BMW clutch delay valve in the slave cylinder. A couple people have deleted theirs so far, and it allegedly makes it shift more like a normal MT car.
My recommendation is to wait a bit longer in-between shifts. Sort of like the auto Rev on...
Precision Motorsports in Farmington Hills. They specialize in BMW's (and the Supra by proxy). They do tons of exhausts and performance related work. They've had enough Supras come through that I trust them to know what they're doing. Also, their Instagram page is pretty active if you wanted to...
Alright reporting back after my first track day:
I reached 1000 miles quite literally as I pulled into the paddock. I've been half following break in done some pulls here and there after 250 ish miles. Been pretty nice on the clutch though, nothing jerky or slamming gears. Temperature for the...
Yes they do. I picked up my 2023 in February and they sent me an email about 2 weeks later about my free track day/NASA membership. You only have a year to do it from the purchase date of your car, so you may want to look into it sooner rather than later.
Active Autowerke has a no CEL guarantee, so unless something is wonky with the way it got installed, you can contact them and they'll send you a new downpipe.
Bm3's "CustomROM" isn't available yet for the Supra (on the fly map switching, live flex adjustment, rolling anti-lag). They're currently working out bugs/testing it, and they plan to release before the end of the year according to people who have asked them and reported back here.
I'm fairly sure there's an old thread somewhere on here where someone was getting significantly higher IATs over stock while on track with the MST, and they had to gold wrap the entire pipe to try and mitigate it.
I have the first track day in my MT coming up next weekend, you guys have sure put the anxiety in me, but I'll report back with what I discover afterwards. It bewilders me that Toyota would spend so long developing this transmission after the car's release and it fall short like this. Also how...
The blockoff plate is to incorporate one of eventuri's other products, which is their headlight delete duct. So that duct would go straight into that section of the airbox
I mean you can run the eventuri without the box at all if you want, and I'm sure removing the blockoff plate would also increase sound. Just be aware that any intake that isn't "boxed off" can very easily lead to decreased performance on hotter days and back to back pulls do to heat soak. I have...
I think most people just don't take their cars to a Toyota dealer if it needs work. Either do the work themselves or take it to a shop that knows what they're doing.
I'm pretty sure that we get a discount on Hawks with the 1 year NASA membership too. Definitely going to be the first aftermarket pad I try out at the track.
I ended up going to Labadie Toyota in Bay City, and I had a very good experience with them when I picked up my Supra a week ago. I'm not sure how many other allocations they've been getting or how long the wait-list is though
So my girlfriend has really long legs proportional to her body, and when she first started driving manual she was telling me the same thing about her right foot getting tired and not being comfortable. The solution for her was to sort of angle her feet/legs outward when not actively shifting...
I just picked up my premium MT earlier this week and I think it sounds pretty good so far, with the caveat being that its ABOVE 4k rpms, which is probably why you haven't been satisfied yet if you're following what the manual says for break-in. It's much more aggressive sounding at higher rpms...
On YouTube, suprA91 has an AA downpipe with the AA exhaust and quite a few videos. I think he's somewhere around the forum as well, I believe under the name @Jackyl tm . He's responded to me in the comments on his YouTube videos before and he seems to really like the exhaust.
I kind of hate those angled side pieces in the rear bumper, reminds me of an early 2000's body kit. The rear was such a clean and sleek design before, I think the move would just be to make the diffuser carbon fiber and add some cutouts behind the rear wheels
Monster Hunter World for me. Didn't expect to play it as much as I did. 700+ hours later I'm pretty sure I've replaced 30% of the knowledge I learned in school to make room for info about the game.
