I mean you can run the eventuri without the box at all if you want, and I'm sure removing the blockoff plate would also increase sound. Just be aware that any intake that isn't "boxed off" can very easily lead to decreased performance on hotter days and back to back pulls do to heat soak. I have the eventuri and fully boxed up I'd say it's about 10-15% louder than stock. It's more of an understated noise, but most definitely an improvement. It is the only intake I've seen that has had a 3rd party test it on a stock tune and get more power though.

I did not realise that this intake actually adds power on a stock tune! Thanks for the info ?

…and appreciate taking that plate off would ruin any gain.. especially when hot!

Just seems like they may have added that plate on purpose allowing an owner an option to pop it off occasionally when they fancy some more turbo noise! ?

I was impressed by that, AWE confirmed with me that theirs will lead to gains of around 10 hp on a stock tune though the only video I have found on it is adding 21 on a stage 1 tune.

The blockoff plate is to incorporate one of eventuri's other products, which is their headlight delete duct. So that duct would go straight into that section of the airbox

Oh yeah, I get it now! I had seen pics of the headlight duct somewhere before and the plate now makes perfect sense ?

AWE intake sounds great, hear a lot of the spool. Eventuri looks great and performs great but has that hefty price tag.

Feel free to reach out to us for an AWE intake + exhaust combo, we'll work you a deal.

Sounds good! Looking to buy in about a month, could you go ahead and message me a quote for when I’m ready?

Eventuri all day! Sound improvement is noticeable, and it’s a very great looking intake.

Definitely depends on what you're looking for. If sound is the only concern then one of the hot air intakes without a box is going to be your best bet.

If you want something that retains or improves from stock performance then you should be looking at options with a box and a filter not pointed directly at the exhaust manifold like the one above lol.

I love my eventuri and disagree that you can't hear it any more than stock. I can definitely hear it, it's just not ricer loud which may or may not be everyone's preference. It's also beautiful and pulls air from the stock inlet behind the headlight as well as from the wheel well via that additional opening. There's also the option to attach to the headlight delete duct if you ever wanted to go that route.

Good luck!

Thanks man! I don’t like how close the AWE sits to the engine block and the Eventuri sits way further away and like you said makes better access of the factory inlets. With that being said I’m thinking of going Eventuri for the intake and the AWE resonated touring for the exhaust.
