Found this but it's definitely not right. My guess is Flex-fuel but I'm not familiar with BMW if the "B" category also includes Flex-fuel in previous engines.
You're right, they're not at 100%. That's why I said almost perfect. You have to sometime cycle through ignition to get it working. But for a pretty cheap translator it's absolutely worth it.
Regarding the CEL, I doubt it shows. It is controlled directly through CAN BUS and if my guy figured it...
For what it's worth, my 3UR swap is using the stock Tundra ECU (CAN BUS signals for everything) and I found a guy online that makes CAN BUS translators between the ECU and the 86's CAN network. Works almost perfectly, all the gauges work along with power steering and ABS. Only thing I lost was...
Probably just the one with the camo wrap like in Spain and Goodwood along with the GR Supra concept. I don't think we will see any aftermarket parts but I might be wrong.
I personally have never done any warranty work. I'd drive the car for 2-3 oil changes to make sure everything is working properly and then start performance mods. If something is gonna break it would have already.
Where I'm from dealerships are extremely unprofessional. They have no idea what...
If it passes Toyota's reliability test, I wouldn't be worried. Many modern Toyota engines built these days have a block and crankshaft that could handle 1000hp (ex: 2AR-FE & 3UR-FE). They have great cooling and oiling. Even though they're open deck they have ZERO cylinder wall issues.
The only...
That maybe true for us enthusiasts but for the average Joe they're all sporty "Toyotas". If you're looking for something to daily drive and wanted something from Toyota and nothing else, it's very easy to go with an RC-F for more comfort, luxury and cargo space. IS-F for the extra rear legroom...
I think it's because even though the body panel renders might look like they were taken from a completely assembled model, they're actually rendered separately from the same viewing angle.
For example if you looked at the car in real life at the same angle as the render, the front and rear...
Yes and no, you can "manually" shift using the pedals in both modes not just the sport mode. But yes, in normal full auto mode a lower shift point is usually smoother and doesn't "kick" as hard. At least that's how it usually works in other cars.
One thing I need to clarify, What I said above is for when you leave the transmission in full Auto.
Assuming the person who wrote the article used the pedals to shift (which is most likely), sport mode should not affect when the transmission shifts thus the only explanation is a higher rev limiter.
Usually the rev limiter itself doesn't change. What happens is that shift happen at a higher RPM in Sport mode than in comfort mode keeping the "revs higher" while accelerating and down shifting quicker to maintain engine speed. But who knows, maybe the MKV will open up the rev limiter more...
Has anyone confirmed if the Euro spec test drive in Spain was in sport mode? From the MT review I don't think it was. Also as A70 pointed out, Sport mode increases Revs to... +7700? As seen in that video a week or two ago.
