  2. Torque Specs for Lug Nuts on Wheel Stud Conversion

100 ft/ lbs I would say. Same as the std wheel bolts. The torque spec for a fastener is a product of the bolt diameter and material but 100ft/lbs is pretty standard for wheel nuts and bolts. Don't drive it at 25 ft/lbs Phil

  10. MT - de-tuned throttle map when clutch is pressed in (disengaged)

What happens if you leave your foot off the throttle in gear, say first and gently release the clutch to the friction point? Do the revs increase slightly at that point. Phil
  11. MKV Manual Swap?

I actually would like the taller diff. I like a first gear thats useable on twisty roads where a Sports car was designed to be. of course in the States where everyone is obsesses with 1/4 mile times and stoplight acceleration it's different but this car for a 3 litre turbo 6 that makes close to...
  12. MT - de-tuned throttle map when clutch is pressed in (disengaged)

I don't believe it's a fault it's designed to be that way. It's an anti stall feature that other cars like the focus RS mk3 have as well. Pretty handy when manoeuvring the car around the garage and tight spaces etc. Just leave your foot off the throttle and gently slip the clutch and creep...
  13. Titanium goodness.

Not that expensive these days. Grade 5 Ti bar stock not too bad price wise. I have just finished the book "Skunk Works" about the Lockheed secret special projects department. Designers and makers of the U2, SR71 Blackbird and the stealth bomber among other aircraft back in the day. The Blackbird...
  14. Clutch Slipping Issues and Warranty Denial

I assume by no start you mean won't crank. How did you adjust the clutch pedal switch? Is it possible that with the heavier clutch now the pedal arm or mount is flexing and the switch adjustment is affected? I haven't looked at my cars pedal arm but I wouldn't be surprised if it's plastic these...

No need for rear wheel removal. Phil
  16. Does anyone's cold start sound like this?

Looks acceptable to me but then again I grew up starting cars with a manual choke where your job was to convince the engine it needed to start running so I don't expect perfection on every start. Phil

Trying to figure out what you are worried about. Phil
