I'm still wondering if it's not a better solution to cut the boot close to the shift knob base before you remove it and work the boot down so you can access the bottom of the shift knobs plastic sleeve that incorporates the retention function onto the stick shaft. The influence of the shrink fit...
Yea I hear ya. People get all puritanical about the functionality of styling items. Owners spend money on adding badges, changing badges, removing stripes or adding them and then worry about the fact the vents don't function. People are endlessly fascinating, I love it. BTW the new vents look a...
In the early days of GMs LS7 engine, the hand built 7 litre V8 with the titanium rods and valves they listed those Ti rods for something silly like 45 bucks each or something as a spare part. They were moving thousands of them until someone at GM got onto it, lol.

Without the benefit if actually viewing the chips in person that sounds like a reasonable course of action. Drain the oil at the interval you suggested into a really clean container taking take a mid stream sample for the analysis and inspect for more material. If it comes up good from a visual...
Well in that case it might be a good idea to do the prying after the seats have been left in the sun for an hour or two. The plastic they use these days for car trims and even electrical connectors are way more brittle in cooler temps. In the warmer summer weather they are noticeable less prone...
The next step is to drain the oil through filter paper and look at the chips. Determine if they are ferrous or non ferrous. So steel, aluminium or bearing material. Any machining swarf from manufacture should have been flushed out if there was any by now which these days is pretty rare. An oil...
Best way to rid yourself of your OCD is buy the mats and embrace the lack of perfection in your mind. Like being a neat freak. Best cure, buy a dog or have kids:)

Men get hammered these days no matter what. I'd hate to be a young guy these days like my 25YO son. The feminazi have made being a young man a crime. They will have the last laugh though when all the young women reach their mid 30's, and the biological clock is tick, tick, tick and no guys will...
I would consider this a permanent adhesive but I guess you can get it off but the adhesive removal method may damage the paint not the adhesive. If you use 3M tape to apply a spoiler for example even if you can remove the spoiler and tape without paint damage then what you will be left with is...
Ok cool missed a few of your points. You could probably do it of course but it would require removal of the shifter shaft and a lot of work to design and manufacture a new one . Not really feasible for a sensible dollar outlay but you can make just about anything happen if you throw enough money...
Because here is the std shifter shaft. You won't get 3 gate slots (4 if you include reverse at the fwd end) across the width of the console opening and have a decent amount of material between the slots for strength. I don't even think you would have enough room to create any slots. The...
I think the holders need to fill the holes more and the tops need to be contoured to match the armrest. The surface finish looks ok from that image. Just some feedback. I have the factory leather plugs fitted to mine but would consider yours with the afore mentioned modifications.

Your 23 comes std with the factory braces and I've got a feeling that on the road or even track you won't gain anything. Just gut instinct. I've also got a Blitz brace on order but I don't expect it to actually do anything it's just a bit of under hood bling for me.

It's not entirely about the material but the replication of a steel component dimensionally from aluminium. I was wondering if S2gizzle had replicated an aluminium part from a steel component dimensionally. I've made a ton of aluminium calliper brackets etc over the years as well without an...
