The last Tire Rack recommended installer I brought the car to had some minimum wage moron literally take an angle grinder to my OEM wheels to stick the wheel weights on. Albeit they were kinda dirty, but still, I was fit to be tied when I realized it.
My wife has a business relationship with...
Let me tell you a story about my commute this morning and the base model maroon Mustang driven by some boomer I encountered. He literally slowed to 15 mph every time he took a corner (45-55 mph roads), and drove 5-10 under the limit while staring at me in his mirrors. When I finally came to a...
Those are pretty popular in New England. My buddy LS swapped one with a junkyard LS and built his own turbo kit around a single, gigantic Chinese Ebay turbo. He caged it, and set it up for drifting. It's a complete hoot to ride in. Sounds friggin unreal.
I was shocked at how cheap it was. I left all of the tires, wheels, TPMS sensors, wheel weights, and valve stems organized at the end of my driveway in front of my garage (invisible to the street). He was pretty stoked about how easy it was, but disappointed that he didn't get to actually see...
What tires?
Are you worried about cold performance (ie cold climate/winter)?
The OEM Brembo pads are pretty decent unless you're doing repetitive threshold braking over 100 mph. They do dust a lot however.
Castrol SRF seems to be the fluid of choice with a lot of Supra/track people because...
Just got notification that my mobile installer from Tire Rack is installing my Kuhmo 730s on my Titan-7s now. ?
ETA: $120, 40 minutes, done in my driveway with my wheel weights. I'm never going to another tire shop again.
Also very happy with the Project-ÎĽ Club Racers. No hint of fade whatsoever during my first track day with the pads. They did overwhelm the PSSs pretty easily. I can't wait to try them out with proper 200tw tires.
Also happy to report that during my commute in high-30F weather the pads still...
You're right. ? I remember having a conversation with a fellow soldier back in the day about how his wing added at least 50 HP to his 3rd gen Eclipse. He thought my Stage 2 WRX was a joke ?.
After seeing @razorlab and his Verus aero I can tell you I'm pretty much sold. Maybe when I'm ready to...
That's the toned down version!
Jackie Ding and a few others with 600hp+ have the full blown Spage wing, which is gigantic.
The truth is the Verus wing looks great and obviously generates useable downforce. I just wish it was a swan neck ala Supra GT4 lol.
The length of the wing will be directly proportional to the downforce and more importantly drag. A wide wing even at 0 angle of attack (AOA) will likely have very noticable negative effect on fuel mileage. This could be a real consideration in a daily driver (it is for me). Just adding a wing...
Funny you should mention that. Someone in the advanced group that day had some tuned and modified Dodge Redeye Demon Widebody Hellcat MOPAR Hemi Whatever TF running Hoosiers and 1000+ HP. I was watching him duke it out with a clapped out Spec Miata.
Every single lap you'd see the Miata come...
This car tends to make people very butthurt at the track. A brand new M5 Competition showed up during my first track day with the Supra. He was very mouthy about his car, but on the track he got embarrassed several times by me, a C6 Z06, and a lightly modified STi. He ended up leaving for the...
