Those are pretty popular in New England. My buddy LS swapped one with a junkyard LS and built his own turbo kit around a single, gigantic Chinese Ebay turbo. He caged it, and set it up for drifting. It's a complete hoot to ride in. Sounds friggin unreal.

Let me tell you a story about my commute this morning and the base model maroon Mustang driven by some boomer I encountered. He literally slowed to 15 mph every time he took a corner (45-55 mph roads), and drove 5-10 under the limit while staring at me in his mirrors. When I finally came to a passing zone, he drag raced me up to 90mph when I tried to pass him in a 50 mph passing zone. I still passed him then took off down the road.

He followed me for the next 6 miles, up my ass, going 20 mph over the limit laying on his horn and flashing his high beams. I turned onto the clearly marked private road my company owns and he followed, honking and flashing. He followed me 1/2 mile down the private road and started to pull into the parking lot of my work. Now mind you, there are other buildings off of this road and roughly 1000 people work on the campus. I called ahead to my boss's boss (our VP) who was waiting outside with the local police on the phone. Mustang man figured out what had happened and tried to leave.

I got a call from the local PD about an hour later. They asked me what happened and I gave them my side of the story. My company is pressing trespassing charges against Mustang man, and the cops are charging him with breach of peace.

Bit tangential, and not a racing story, but there is a guy in the area who has a Volvo 850 with a BMW V8 swap and racing seats that was imported from Italy. Thing is an absolute monster to look at during C&C.

Really only ever had a modded Evo X and a 5.0 Mustang actually try to race me on the highways. Evo X was close because it was raining, but got the pull on it once I got some proper grip.

Mustang was left in the dust lol.

Good ole Ft Gordon. Was stationed there myself with my first modded car, 95 civic with internals, a 75 shot and Zex bottle. I would've been one of the ones to try you as well if I was there. ?

I've had people pull up on me quite often, but Midwest car guys are usually pretty chill from what I've been prevy to. We might have a serious pull or two but it usually ends up with us cruising together until someone gets to their exit. 350/370 Zs seem to be my biggest attractor, Challengers and Type Rs right after.

Last week a guy in a GT2RS who was way ahead on the highway slowed down and waited for me, he ended up just giving me a thumbs up, complementing me on the car and taking the next exit.

We have a wide variety of cars here in sunny FL. I find a lot of Infinity G cars (35, 37, 60?) always want to try. We also have our fair share of everything. Golf R’s and GTI’s, Challengers and Chargers and Mustangs, few Audi’s some Model 3 performance’s.

That latter being a pretty quick car my Model 3 performance went 11.49 @ 115mph so it was no slouch by any means and the dead stick launches never get old. My Model Y Performance does 0-60 in 3.5 and its always fun every time I hit it. Hope to buzz that one to the track shooting for 11’s! Now the Supra is the drama queen of the bunch, I have hit 3.3 best 0-60 but it was trying hard to kill me in the process, it’s not for the faint of heart.

Cars I may have met and had chance encounters with in Mexico and they had problems overtaking a certain Supra on a closed circuit track with full safety and supervision…

I tend to not go to Mexico anymore these days and stuff I run across (in Mexico) is generally stock‘ish and most don’t have a driver mod. I’m sure if I showed up to a real Saturday meet (in Mexico) everything would probably send me off to Gapplebees there are some seriously fast locals here.

I was a hardcore Tampa Street… ummm… scene guy for like 10+yrs back in the 90’s and early 2000’s (pre Fast and Furious Movies after that every 16yr old douche knuckle with a Civic thought they were Vin Diesel) with a bunch of cars and while my heart desperately wants to head out on Saturday night I instead go to the back patio, take some bourbon and a cigar and then open YouTube and Type Supra VS… and silently cry a little and say it’s for the best ?

Cool cars I got a thumbs up from - New Acura NSX made it a point to give me the thumbs up and even a Porsche guy, couldn’t believe it, had to pinch myself

Cars that may have so utterly destroyed the Supra that the fabric of time and space was permanently altered forever (at a track in Mexico with supervision)

2000HP Audi R8 V10 Twin Turbo - 2 Friday’s ago. He very politely brought me over to the Gap, served up a heaping helping of Gapplebee’s then disappeared into the dimensional time vortex created in the gap he left. If that seems like a lot of gapping… it was…

The Supra is tons of fun, faster then a lot, slower then a lot more but overall to me a beautiful car, gets loads of thumbs up and goes like a cracked out tweaker chasing his next hit…
