And this is one reason why this was almost certainly not a deliberate leak by Toyota.
Too bad about that straight hood shut line, it should have been brought down below the badge and around the top of the lights for a much more cohesive look - compare with the FT-1 image Supra93 added to his...
Looks like the mid-engined C8 won't be stealing the Supra's thunder at the show after all:

For those of us required to have a front plate, this looks like good news - a plate will not be too obnoxious here as long as it's placed below the silver nose and not on it.
I'm thinking of more credible sources like Science Daily, which provides short summaries of peer-reviewed research papers, and the NYT. There have been several battery "breakthroughs" in labs in the past 10-20 years, but so far none have been able to make the move to cost-effective production at...
This will be over $75k in Canada. I'd take the M2 Competition any day of the week, it's several thousand cheaper.
This price has nasty implications for the Supra's Canadian MSRP. If the Supra i6 comes in at $65k here the Canadian market share for it will be minuscule; those who prioritize...
Maybe. But there have been a lot of rosy prognostications about advances in battery tech and charging in the last 20 years that have failed to materialize. The track record to date hasn't been impressive.
None of the above greys look to be a close match to that Supra's paint colour though, which is lighter in tone and has a more greeny-blue hue. (The hood on the second shot down is getting there, but it looks 'shopped - the colour on the car's side is a very poor match.) Whether the difference...
Fully electric cars are never going to be ubiquitous, at least for the foreseeable future - there are too many urbanites living in condos or apartments that have no access to plugin power. The cost to retrofit a condo garage for high-speed charging at each parking spot would be substantial...
Those two colors aren't exactly a match as shown - of the two I much prefer the first. That first photo seems to have a good white balance judging from the driver's jeans and skin tone, so hopefully that is how the paint will actually look.
Are these all press drives? There was mention made a while ago of a European press drive of the production car being held this month...
If Toyota is confident that the reviews will be positive it would be a good marketing strategy to have production car reviews released from embargo just as the...
Those bolsters don't look too impressive, nowhere near as good as those in a CT-R. Toyota will probably make proper sports seats an expensive upgrade.
Another thing noticeable in those photos is the substantial forward rake of the headrest which may make it impossible to lean your head back...
Catchment area for the Toronto show should be 6+ million, over 8 million if you include the Greater Horseshoe area within about a 90 minute drive. And Toyota sales here are very strong.
Wonder if it will make the Toronto show in February. Toyota has a big market here, but our show overlaps the Chicago show from Feb 15 to 18, so if there is only one car available we may not see it.
